Do you think it's carpal tunnel? I had it in both hands and had to have carpal tunnel release on both hands. I also have arthritis in my hands as well. My left hand is affected worse than the right and my thumb hurts bad on my right hand. I had a doctor suggest surgery on my thumb some years ago but I didn't go through…

I googled it and they came out in 2002. Some girl that started making the recipe in her parents kitchen lol! Perhaps she is referring to a different bar until those came out.

It takes about 2 weeks to get in to a new habit.

I'm hoping to keep up with this group. I'd love to aim for about a 3-4 lb loss this month. I've gotten so far off track. Lost 30 lbs as of this time last year and back up 20 lbs at this point. So easy to pack the lbs back on when over the age of 50. Original starting weight -152 January starting weight -152 January goal…

1200 per day and I usually walk every other day for 2-3 miles on those days so I am a bit hungrier so I eat back some of those calories. I'll try eating more at my last meal of the day or eating my last meal of the day later in the evening.

hugs! I know the feeling. I lost 30 lbs last fall and felt great at around 130 lbs and now I'm back up to 150 so I've gained 20 back. I feel like a failure. I know it's all my fault and remember all the bad choices I made in meal choices and overeating and not exercising for months. I'm back on track as of yesterday and…

Talk to your doctor first. I've always been told that if you were doing something (exercise-wise) before the pregnancy then it's safe to keep it up during the pregnancy. It's harder on you to start a new regimen after the pregnancy has already begun in other words.

I wouldn't try to lose more than 1/2 - 2 lbs a week depending on your height/weight currently. Even 2 lbs a week is a bit of a stretch to always shoot for. It's going to fluctuate week to week. Your body also has other things going on other than just trying to lose weight for you.

I agree with you! I think it's a bit one-sided to only take in to consideration their feelings just because they are providing the food. Just because they see it as rude from their culture's perspective doesn't mean it is from her culture. She has her culture as well and it needs to be respected as well. It goes both ways.…

I would offer to make the meal and take it sometimes. I would also eat whatever it is they are having but eat less of it. For instance, if it's fast food just eat the stuff that is the least in calories if possible and leave it at that. If you've been eating good all week then that one meal in one day shouldn't set you…

I'm 4'11" and started last October 2018 and lost 30 lbs by the end of January of this year. So I lost 30 in about 3.5 months. Since summer began I've been off the wagon and gained a few pounds back so I'm back at it. I'm setting a goal of 1 year to hopefully lose another 20 lbs making it 50 total. But it totally depends on…

Keto, Nutrisystem or "diet plans" such as those I don't care to hear about. I do Weight Watchers and there's no special food. All you do is stay within a certain amount of points. It does help for someone who needs to lose weight and can't stick to not overeating so I do tell people what I'm doing if they ask me but I…

I have kids.

Try eating five to six small meals per day or eat every 2.5 hours if you need to. Plan your meals ahead of time. It makes a big difference. Drinks lots of water. Also keep a lot of low calorie foods around. I will try and snack on a banana or an apple or grapes near bedtime if I'm hungry because there's no way I can sleep…

I'd just try cutting out the worse things that are on your diet like the fried foods, try grilling instead and use a good marinade on them or even roasting in the oven. If you have to put them in oil skip the flour or egg batter if you use that on your foods and fry in EVOO. When you have french fries do them in the oven…

Yes! In fact, this is where I usually start to doubt that I can do it and quit. Hang in there. I've learned that yes you will have losses and then gains. It depends on so many things why that happens: hormones, sodium intake, exercise and your body is doing it's own thing in there as well. I started out losing 4 lbs the…

I just turned 50 last month and have about 30 to lose as well. That's my first goal at least. See how I feel when and if I get there. Welcome back!

Most I've seen or know drink from water bottles. Never seen any drinking a soda of any kind.

wild caught fish is all I will eat. I tried the non-wild caught one time and it was so full of water it was soggy when I ate it and that was after draining it for what seemed like forever and trying to get more water out with a towel around it. disgusting

I've never heard that about tilapia before. I have heard it about shrimp though since they are along the oceans floor. But I eat what I eat. Once something is cooked in a high temp then how can it hurt you? Next time try cod or flounder. Actually cod is quite a bit thicker and tastes better IMO so you may like it better…

Doesn't change for me. When I got to goal at age 40 I was constantly told I looked in my early 20s. I still get told I look like I'm in my 20s and right now I'm at 155 lbs and just turned 50 years old. Just started back. I look young because of my genes not how much weight I have on me.

Thanks everyone! So far I've mixed it up to PB consistency and ate it with apples and with bananas. I will try some of the other ideas.

just returned to MFP (again) because I'm 30 lbs overweight and tired of the cellulite on my arms, legs and looking 7 months pregnant in the belly. Oh and also the double chin.

Are you using real butter or margarine? Butter has the tbsp with lines you cut on the butter stick. If you cut half of that or less then I'd log it as 1/2 tbsp.

He just needs to eat more of what he wants to eat. He can also fix his own stuff aside from yours and eat it if needed. My husband doesn't want to lose and will oftentimes eat something totally different than I or the kids are eating.

I've had an ED and you know when you have one. I got so thin that I didn't realize it at the time. When I was in my late teens I was in the 60-70 lb range. When I was 40 years old I weighed 99 lbs. Now I'm 50 and can't seem to lose a pound and stuck at 155ish. I hate it. I'd rather be around 125-130 for a realistic goal…

It's tough. I usually end up quitting when I get to that point. I've done so well in past years but now that I'm 50 it's so hard to lose weight. I can't figure it out. But I do try to remember to weigh as much of my food as possible, make sure to always track every BLT (bite, lick and taste) and remember that our bodies…
