high blood pressure meals
I was diagnosed high blood pressure, high cholesterol and other things back in November. Looking for some recipe ideas (simple) that don't include a lot of stuff, just basic. I need to get my B/P under control. I prefer eating chicken, fish, most veggies/some fruits, beans, nuts, berries.

married chit-chatters?
It seems like the Chit-Chat section is designed only for singles. Some of us are happily married. :) I would love to meet some other married MFP!

bed time hunger
Does anyone else go all day barely feeling hungry and keeping without a good intake as far as calories and what not and then 8:00pm rolls around and it's like hunger strikes out of nowhere? I'm the type that can not fall asleep if I'm hungry. I'm trying to get used to eating just a little bit of something that's satisfying…

sparkling water
How do people drink it? I had a friend suggest I try drinking that since it's hard for me to get all my water in each day so I did. It'll keep me from eating much because it turned my stomach. It also made me appreciate water much more.

just returned
I lost 25 lbs and got to goal about two years ago and felt great. Then I regained it all plus a little more. I'm back to try again. I also use WW along with MFP. WW is becoming a joke so I may be canceling soon. They have so many foods "with" calories that are zero points and it really slows down the process. I am given…

PB2
I need ideas on what to use this with and how to prepare it? I can't eat dairy and I don't eat/drink coconut or milk.

roller skating
Anyone else love to roller skate? I took my youngest two roller skating yesterday and it wore me out. I made a promise to take them skating at least once every other week if not more often. I'd forgotten about how much fun it is! I'm almost 50 years old and 50 lbs overweight and it felt good to get out there and do it. If…

radishes
Strange post I know but I discovered radishes not too long ago are wonderful when cooked. They almost taste like potatoes so I use them in their place. I usually roast them with chicken, onions, peppers and want to incorporate them in to more meals. Anyone have recipes that include them?

Treadmill
Those who walk on the treadmill for your primary form of exercise: how often do you walk and how long/miles?

KUWTK
Stupid post and it doesn't matter anyway. Was bored and flipped on to E network and KUWTK is on. Kourtney had her oldest son in December 2009 if I'm correct? The newest season is out right now and on episode 2 from this year her oldest son has his two front teeth missing. Those are teeth that a child loses by age 5 or at…

how do you do it?
I just started again on MFP. My question is how do you get started when you've been off the wagon and want to get started again? I start by weighing myself and get the beginning weight logged and then start weighing what I eat each meal. I gradually add in exercise but I don't do that at first or else I'm more likely to…

gastric bypass
This is an honest question about gastric bypass. I'm not judging anyone who has had it done. I know someone who had this done some years ago and I'm not sure if it's the same as the gastric sleeve or not. But my friend who had this done can only eat a certain amount of food at a time or else he will get physically sick. So…

traveling 9 hours by car
We are traveling by car 9 hours to our vacation site this year. I'm trying to figure out how to not fall in to the fast food rut when we go. We have 3 kids that will eat food from anywhere so I know what kind of snacks to pack for them and when I get to where I'm going I plan to get veggies and fruits for the week we are…

back at it again
I started back to MFP about a month ago but started logging everything here two weeks ago. Everytime I do MFP I start losing and stop at the same weight every time. Last time I stayed there two months and gave up. The only exercise I do is walking and I can't be building muscle doing that. I haven't measured myself so I…

thick pretzels
Does anyone know what I could use in the food tracker for a thick pretzel at the movie theater? I'm thinking it's probably similar to Auntie Anne pretzels but not sure? It's the hot dough kind not crunchy.

what would you tell someone who....
has an overweight/obese child? Going on what you've learned on your weight loss journey and you were asked for advice on how to help a child lose weight - what would you tell them? Would you give them ideas on how to help the child lose weight or just how to feed them healthier/exercise until they can get to an age to…

Moms close to 50 or over?
I'll be 49 in a couple of months and desperately need to lose weight. I lost 25 lbs last year on MFP and gained it all back through the winter months. Now I can't seem to get the weight to budge at all no matter how much I cut back on food and eat better. I get 1200 per day. I'm 4'11 and 150 lbs. The biggest I've ever been…

1200 per day
I've been at this weight loss thing over and over so I know what to do and my biggest problem is staying on plan. I was at goal for many years and was always thin growing up and as a young adult. My "biggest" years (other than when pregnant) have been the last seven years and going back and forth with losing weight. Does…

do you eat breakfast?
Are you an every day breakfast eater? Just some days? Never eat breakfast? I used to never want breakfast but once I hit 40 years old I eat breakfast about 5 days per week.

weekend vent
Had a weekend beach trip. I went over my calories on Friday evening for my daughter's birthday meal but still not too far over and on Sunday on the way back home I ate a couple things I probably shouldn't have while driving out of stress. But 4 lbs!!! I put on 4 lbs in one weekend. I just lost 2 lbs in the last month. I…

1200 calories per day
I tried to share a picture but it wouldn't upload.

salad dressing
Does anyone else add a little water (1-3 tbsp) to their salad to make the dressing go farther? I do it with the thicker dressings like ranch, caesar and 1000 island.

those of us who were always thin
Anyone else here that was thin most of their life until they got older? I was a very small child to the point where my doctor told my parents to feed me milkshakes at night before bed. :D Was a small teen too. At age 18 I weighed 75 lbs. I'm only 4'11. Now at age 48 I'm 150ish and have a hard time losing. To think that…

not losing weight when you don't eat enough
It never makes sense to me when I hear someone say if I don't eat enough calories each day that I won't lose any weight. Why is it then that I go out and see homeless people on the streets that are so frail and small from not eating enough food? or the anorexic who starve themselves pretty much to be thin? I struggled with…

If someone sends a friend request and you decline - can they see that you decline? Something I've always wondered.

fish
How often does everyone eat fish in a week? Tell me some ways you prepare it. I usually bake mine with new orleans spicy seasoning on it and a little EVOO. I will sometimes dredge it in some panko too. I also eat tuna 1-2 times per week.
