  • GREAT inspirational goal! THANK YOU for your desire to serve our country! You can do this 100%...
  • @NadiaMayl it's funny you say that...as of last October I was 44 lbs heavier...looking AWFUL...feeling AWFUL...I still would like to lose at LEAST 20 more lbs (ideally 30) BUT...I am lighter than I was on my wedding day (by 10 lbs) & about what I weight in m early 30's right now (I am 46 now) & exercising more than I was…
  • Hello ladies...here to report my 1st attempt at a P90X video...it was ugly...I can tell EVERYTHING is going to hurt tomorrow. I am questioning what I got myself into!!
  • @NadiaMayl I KNNNOOWWW...I am excited BUT a little scared...lol. I know this one woman who did it...she was very "soft" before doing it & wound up RIPPED! I have never been "RIPPED" a day in my life...(I've been fit...but never like that) & I need to kick start the rest of my weight loss to get to goal. I am so stagnant…
  • You look FABULOUS!! What an inspiration!!
  • WOW! This is SOOOO great! I totally agree with you. I am 44+ lbs down today but was over 50 back in March...(with still about 30 more to lose) & I feel like it is a forever goal. I have become OK with that. I have made some really great changes to my lifestyle & I keep on doing so. Like you said, it's a straight "slide…
  • Soooo.....guess what I just did....I have been debating joining an expensive, Crossfit gym by me. My 12 year old daughter wants very badly to get better at Softball. A big part of her problem is lack of strength & endurance soooo....instead of joining an expensive gym (that I really cannot afford) just for myself...I…
  • THAT IS AWESOME!! I love this for you!
  • Great job ladies!! I have hit the gym everyday this week so far & completed 60 min elliptical & 600 cals burned each day. That is so funny @NadiaMayl I do the SAME thing when I "run" I actually stop myself when I say it out loud & now clarify my statement by saying "Well, actually...I "jog" I can't say I run." But GREAT…
  • HI ladies....hit the elliptical for an hour this AM & burned 600 cals (love that machine.) Hit my steps and ate "relatively" good today...(ate within my cals)
  • Thank you @heather369. Yes, I too think of your friend's children too...I have a friend who passed of brain cancer last year who left 2 young boys. Her husband is beside himself in trying to pick up the pieces....but I don't think your friend's family is going to have to experience this. Yes it's going to be hard, yes it's…
  • I too was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at the end of 2015 and lost over 40 lbs and pushed it back to PRE-DIABETES but need to dump about 30 more lbs now to really get into healthy range. I have been eating quasi low carb (still eat yogurt etc) high protein since my start in 10-2015. But would love to be added. I took…
  • I am FAR older than you but have had a similar up, down, up experience over the past few months and need to drop my home stretch amount of weight of 30 lbs. I am currently down 43 lbs. I believe (was down 50 as of the end of May) so I was very worried that I was heading out of control myself. So I joined MFP and decided to…
  • Great job!! Keep up the good work!!
  • Oh & by the way @heather369 I am sorry for your little guy. I hope his finger gets on the mend quick!! Oh...I am TOTALLY eating my exercise cals...it's like the main reason I workout! LMAO I love seeing all those cals in the bank so I can sit & eat dinner with my family & not have to freak out over every tsp. of olive oil.…
  • @heather369...OOOOO I am so sorry to hear this about your friend. I don't recall if I shared this with you or not, but I lost my 6 year old son to cancer 3 years ago so I know very well the heavy heart you have. All I can say is treatment and options have come a LOOONNGGG way (each & every year I am floored actually) & I…
  • @heather369 I am so sorry...I did not see your post about the bad news you received. I hope you and your family find peace in the aftermath. @NadiaMayl sooo I take it all back! It's just me being impatient. I stepped on the scale todsy...3 lbs. down! I am within 3 lbs. of my pre-vaca weight...so now the real work starts.…
  • Hi @heather369, well I WAS eating 1,200 + any exercise cals earned. I was feeling too hungry each day so I upped my cal intake to 1400 + any exercise cals....I am guessing I need to drop back down again. I need to lose about 30 lbs still. I'm down 41 as of today (this is with my vaca weight gain)
  • UGGG! I don't get my body these days...So...I ran 3 miles Monday (burns over 500 cals) I went to the gym & did 60 mins on elliptical (600 cals burned) yest. AND today, I've been tracking all my food since Sunday & somehow...I gained some weight today!! It's only a few ounces BUT...I really thought I would have seen a…
  • This is the 1st time for me with MFP BUT CERTAINLY not the 1st time for me yo-yo'ing with my weight. I can easily make excuses as to why...but this is this the first time I have worked as hard as I have. Oct. 1, 2015 I started this process & was down just about 50 lbs as of March 1, 2016. I still needed to lose 20-25 lbs.…
  • Hummm, I've had a few recently. 1) I told myself that on a 3 week vaca I would only allow a 5 lb weight gain. Came home to read 5.8 on the scale...pretty darn close when I would have TOTALLY not even thought about it in the past. 2) On my vaca I wore a bathing suit 90% of the time without total humiliation. 3) When I…
  • Yes, I do but I see why you are asking...diets like weight watchers etc. allow certain foods as 0 & you can eat as much of them as you'd like and those are usually green veggies & fruits like watermelon....so I get it.
  • HI ladies! I'MMMMM BBBAAACCCKK! and fatter than ever....lol No...not SO bad actually. My goal was to only allow myself a 5lb gain this vacation. I must tell you...3 weeks of vaca is BRUTAL in trying to maintain SOME KIND of reasonable habits. Well...after TOTALLY reeling it in yesterday and running 3 miles this AM...the…
  • I just ate a healthy salad at Mod Market at the Airport as I wait to board!! We will be drinking LOTS O' BEER while away...my biggest fear but also my biggest excitment tee hee...wearing my runners though as I type with every intention to log in some miles...I will check in for sure but it will be more sporadic!! Going to…
  • ^^^^ WOW! How awesome!! Well...I started at 168 I believe when I first logged on with you ladies & today I weighed in at 161.4. but last week I was at 160.3 so...I misstepped a bit this week. I am so worried friends...I leave for NJ on Monday to see family & friends for THREE WEEKS....this will be my hardest challenge…

  • So my TomTom watch does sync my actual workouts but on rest days...I am taking anywhere from 12k-20k steps that does NOT upload! I started manually entering in this info...I was just wondering if others did the same or was 10k+ steps just expected or something. Ok thank you all who answered
  • Yes @Kerryatoon please send along your stretching points/tips/links because I was JUST thinking today it may have something to do with my hips as well!! I have self diagnosed myself since my 20's with Bursitis in my hips which flares up every time I start back to running. I have started spending more time doing hip flexor…
