Halo top is delicious! I just discovered a week ago and love their chocolate one, and they have some coffee flavored one that is also amazing.

I'd stick with 1380 and add in eating back half of exercise calories and see how that looks in a few weeks. So maybe aim for 1625 for days you exercise.

I also try to limit alcohol because it feels like a waste of calories... I'm not very successful at times. Other than that, I have "bad" food in smaller portions so I don't feel like I'm deprived. I just try not to have the bad food at the same times as the alcohol or else my willpower for moderation disappears.

Diet Coke, romaine lettuce, chicken every single week

Awesome job!

It'll vary depending on your height, weight, etc. there's some online calculators you can use to estimate, but are these steps in addition to regular activity or just through a normal day?
-
Following as well... I've gone from 184 to 138, and want to lose about 10-15 lbs more as well, it's a struggle

I aim for 1200 net, usually equates to 1300-1400ish, but some days I eat more, some days I eat less. If I started feeling bad health wise, I would start eating more. I have about 15lbs left to lose, and I am doing well on 1200 so see no reason to go up just because I'm closer to goal. I lose about 1.5 lbs a week and am…

Awesome!

I have the fitbit charge 2. I don't log anything, I just synced them and it will give a calorie adjustment (mostly in real time) with how many extra calories were earned through exercise. I would eat back half of that (of additional adjustment exercise calories).

I actually just decided to start this strategy this week. Weekends are hard because we often go out to eat as a family. My daily goal is 1200, so I'm dropping to 850 M-F and about 2000 on weekends. I just aim to skip breakfast (coffee instead), very light lunch (250 or under) and normal dinner of about 600 calories, with a…

Thanks everyone!

Walking on my breaks, maybe 45 mins 5 days a week. Just starting stronglifts this month.

I just aim for 1200 calories net, eat whatever I want, just smaller portions. I use a food scale most of the time to make sure I'm accurate, and if not, I usually overestimate just in case.

I lost a majority from May till about Octoberish (6 months) and then just maintained until early January where I've dropped the most recent almost 10 pounds. I aim for 1200 net after eating half of exercise calories back, usually eat about 1350 if I actually exercise, and definitely throw in occasional maintenance days…

I have the Fitbit Charge 2, just got it a few days ago. I love it!!!! Biggest pro for me is the continuous heart monitoring and the motivational guy that gets me moving. I'm a huge number person and it meets me OCD needs with all the facts, graphs and trends.

That makes perfect sense, thank you!

I was a 9 before, I've lost 40ish pounds and still a 9.. and I'm only 5'3
-
I just started as well, stronglifts 5x5, feel free to add

Keep going! I did the same thing. I lost just over 40 pounds, have about 10 more to go, but took a few months as a break eating mostly at maintenance. I got motivated again when I thought about how bad I felt when I was really overweight and how satisfied I will be to see that final number I am aiming for. I also plan to…

Just thought I'd come back and post an update that I have continued this lifestyle change and am down over 40 pounds with about 10 more to go to get to my goal weight of 130. I still eat out on occasion and eat "unhealthy" foods when I feel like it (in smaller portions). I also started adding in strength training the last…

Thanks! How would I tell the difference between tweaked and just normal soreness?

I don't have advice, but I just started this program as well. I'm 5'2 and weigh about 142 now. I'm still trying to lose weight but also "tone" at the same time. My goal is 1200 a day, and I got to 1350 on lifting days.

Following this as well
-
I'm on a 1200 calories diet and not having headaches. I'm honestly not sure though.
-
I am set to 1200, but normally eat about 1300 with exercise calories (my diary is open). I don't feel like I'm starving. Also, I added in diet soda (I didn't drink it before trying to watch my calories, which I started about 2 months ago) because I like to drink stuff throughout the day and water alone bores me so then I…

Desk job as well. I do the gym after work, usually every other day. I also walk on my lunch breaks. I set MFP to sedentary.
-
Same height, I started at 184, and have lost about 19 lbs in about 60 days ( I started tracking on here about 2 weeks in to just making better/smaller food choices and have been on this site about 40 days now).

great job!
