I got a Fitbit charge 2 over the weekend and it added some calories burned onto my exercise log. I am concerned there is some double counting going on because I walked on my treadmill this morning and logged that like I have been doing for a while. Anyone know how Fitbit and MFP work that out? Should I disregard one of the calorie "credits" when planning my caloric intake?

If you're logging exercise in MFP, it does not double count if you put in the exact time you exercised. The calories burned MFP says will overwrite what Fitbit says you burned for that time frame. Although really, it's unnecessary to log any step-based exercise such as this because your Fitbit will take care of it.1

I have the fitbit charge 2. I don't log anything, I just synced them and it will give a calorie adjustment (mostly in real time) with how many extra calories were earned through exercise. I would eat back half of that (of additional adjustment exercise calories).0

Ok! I'll make note of my exercise but won't log anything the Fitbit might pickup0

The Fitbit Charge 2 allows you to select Treadmill as an activity. Press the button until you see an activity name, usually "Run," then tap the screen until you see the word "Treadmill," then press and hold the button to start; then when finished, press the button to end. The activity will be recorded in Fitbit. If you have MFP set to post a message to your News Feed, it should - I don't have that option turned on so I haven't tried that part.

How do I use multisport or exercise mode on my tracker? http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1935/?l=en_US&p=charge_2&fs=Search&pn=10 -

Hey! I recently got a Fit Charge 2, too! The multi-sport tracker really works. A couple of times I exercised and clicked the button for the exercise I was doing and it logged it for me. I also didn't click the button yesterday when I was on the elliptical. My fitbit (and the app) logged that I was on the elliptical for the exact amount of time I was on there and actually KNEW I was on the elliptical. It's pretty smart! I don't usually trust technology so I thought this was pretty cool. The bike reading mode can only tell when you're on a moving bike, though, not recumbent. The only thing I'm not certain of is the accuracy of the calories burned, but I've always been weird about that. And the feature that shows your heart rate zones is SUPER helpful and I have found it pretty accurate when compared to the machines' "silver area" heart rate monitor.0
