Not needing to use the last notch on my belt.

IF is working well for me with 18:6 or 20:4 schedule. Helps me not obsess about each calorie I consume. I absolutely have dropped in cravings and appetite which helps you stay in your calorie deficit. The loss isn’t super fast for me, just about 2 lbs a week. But I’m dropping sizes and enjoying my workouts more. It’s a…

Hello All, I’m new and happy to find this group! So fun to see ladies from all over in this thread. I’m halfway to my goal and using the IF approach as recommended by my physician. I’m very happy with it as it has all but eliminated my sort of obsession with every bite/calorie I could put in my mouth. I’ll tell ya dieting…

Today I was able to say no thank you to going out to eat for a social occasion. Usually I would have gone ahead and indulged but it wasn’t even a struggle. I feel like I’ve really improved my appetite control/correction.

I’ve been doing 18:6 for about three months. 24 pounds down and it’s been fairly easy to stick to it. Calorie deficit is still a must as well as a clean fast.

My husband is out of the country for work and I haven’t seen him since June. He’ll finally come home in mid December and I’d love to have reached 165 by then. I’m 170 now and a slooooow loser so might not make it. But that’s my hope! Also , he doesn’t know I’ve been losing weight so it’s a surprise .❤️

I love, love, love a glass of milk with a heaping spoonful of peanut butter.

22 down and 30 to go!

Trying to get out of the 170s.

I know just what you mean. For years I actively avoided looking in the mirror. If I saw my reflection I’d always flinch. Now I don’t avoid the mirror and I like what I see!

Well done!!!

I’ve been pleasantly surprised how my body has stopped craving the graze .

I am grateful I got to vote today, that I stuck with healthy choices when I ate, and a terrific son.

Yes, at my physician‘s suggestion I’ve been doing 16:8 for two months. It wasn’t too hard for me to get used to because I was never really a big breakfast eater anyway. You still need a calories deficit though and of course it’s best to eat healthy choices and not just a box of donuts for your daily calorie allotment. But…

My doctor suggested IF to help correct my high insulin levels. I’ve been doing it for two months and have lost 20 pounds. I still try to stay in the 1200 calorie a day limit. So far so good! Good luck!

I still like going out to eat. Not as much because so many entrees are so high calorie. I just try and order the most sensible thing I can on the menu and then ask for a to-go box ad the same time as I place my order. I put at least half the plate in the go box before I eat a bite. I save that box either for dinner or…

So much wisdom ! Thank you!

My doctor suggested IF to me be because of high insulin levels in my blood work/insulin resistance. I’m only 50 days in but it’s working for me.

Great job!

What a great idea. I’m going to see how I can incorporate this focus on habit!

Great job!!!

Really close to my half way mark. I’m stoked!!

You’re not a failure! You can do this! Lots of people gain weight back and haven’t brought a tiny human into the world. Love yourself like I know you love your baby. Add me as a friend and we can cheer each other on! ❤️

I understand. Food is so soothing to me. It’s not easy to wean ourselves off what soothes us but it can be done! There are other healthier options we can adopt to cope with everything that comes our way. Better health is worth it! ❤️

My doctor recommended IF to me because not only do I need to loose weight but I need to “reset” my insulin levels. My A1c is normal but I still had high insulin levels in my bloodwork. I’ve been doing IF for about 6 weeks. Follow up lab work next month will tell me if it has helped. Otherwise, it’s just a bit of help in…

I have been surprised at the difference in the calorie count in food I weigh vs the estimate from the MFP app. You may be taking in more calories than you realize.

I experience loneliness very often as well. The only advice I can offer is that getting involved in group activities like volunteering, or community theater, etc helps me. Just making sure that once or twice a week I’m around a group of other human beings all working towards a common cause helps me. I believe shared…
