  • If you stumble and fall, are you really just gonna lie there?
  • I run outside. I live in Norway so that means darkness, cold and ice but with decent gear its safe enough.
  • Take away wheat, corn, rice and potatoes, and see how long the world can sustain 7,5 billion people. something to think about for all the carbohydrate phobias out there.
  • And one more thing since it hasnt been mentioned yet: Try to run on softer surfaces if you can (grass, dirt etc)
  • I don't know if there is a set point, and nobody else on this forum would know either. (even though some would claim they know) What we DO know is that over 90% of dieters fail to either lose weight, or maintain their new weight . The failure rate is quite extraordinary, and that alone would suggest that the body will…
  • I'll stick to my carbs after my long run, thank you very much :D

  • Run slower, also I would suggest trying to follow a program like c25k. Aim for 3x week. Good luck.
  • Oh I envy you! I signed up for a cruise with NCL Epic myself, but that isnt untill mai 2019  Have a wonderful holiday!
  • Fuel is not really the issue here. She has 200 pounds of extra fuel. OP: Well done for finding the path of a healthier lifestyle. You have a long way ahead of you, and some days will be harder than others. You know this, so when those days arrives, remember why you are doing this. There will be days that you feel you screw…
  • It may be overtraining. Especially if your HR is 170+ each and every run. I dont know what your MAX HR is, but I do know that 170+ is not an easy run. You do not do yourself any favors by pushing too hard every run. 70-80% of your runs should be easy.
  • I was reading "How many grams of sugar daddy"
  • A little over 2 years ago I overate on Pizza, like overating so much I couldnt move for like 2 hours. There and then I decided to lose weight, and never have the feeling of overeating again. Next day I bought a scale and it showed 99 kg (218 pounds) I started to eat less and do a daily 5 km walk, and 3 months later I…
  • Keep going, you will be ALOT faster when you lose those 3 stones. (image from the book the secret of running)
  • Sounds like you need proper shoes, and not a change in running form. The only thing I would suggest in terms of running form is to stand up tall, like there is a string attached to your head. If you are already doing this, you are good to go run

  • It will most likely come down to hormone inbalance and/or bacteria imbalance. Your stomach may produce too much of the hormone Ghrelin. you can read more about it here https://www.sciencelearn.org.nz/resources/1836-hormonal-control-of-digestion If I may come with one tip: If youre a fast eater (or even a normal eater) slow…
  • You DO burn more calories, because of the afterburn effect you get, though if you run only 15 min, it wont do much difference. https://www.runnersworld.com/training/a20829319/march-14-the-afterburn-exists-and-it-can-be-very-significant/

  • Once a week will get you nowhere if you want to improve. you need 3-5 a week, and you dont want to start with more than 3. There are loads of training programs on the web. If you insist on an app, look up apps like freeletics running https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.freeletics.android.running&hl=nb Good…
  • We can cheer you on, but you would have to bring your own motivation. You also need some dicipline and structure. Motivation is really the easy part, you just have to do some visualization techniques, for instance how much you would improve in the next 6 months. Also, find some goals to work towards, and make sure to set…

  • C25K is a great start. I've used Zombies run 5k training program in the past and it works very well. Dont worry about the zombies, as they wont start chasing you untill week 8. There is one zombie in a leash around week 4, that gets pretty agitated if you do squats, but other than that you'll be fine!
  • Manly snacks.. Hm. Go for hot dogs, they are manly by nature. >:)
  • So much this. You need shoes that fits YOUR feet. I could never use HOKA, as they are too tight for my feet, so For me Brooks is the best, as they are a little wider. Go to a proper running store and they will find a pair that suits you.
  • Why not, he/she already lost her/his head.
  • You can totally get thin by taking off your shoes. The problem as I see it, is that you gain back the weight when you take the shoes back on again. It's a vicious cycle.
  • Your stress hormones is holding on for dare life. Trust the process, and stop weighing yourself every two hours!
  • It is what it is, and there is really nothing you can do about it. The damage is already done, and the result comes down to genetics and nothing else.
