Hi Keishla! Welcome! It's great you have a goal to motivate your weightloss! This group is very supportive and I am sure you can find a lot of info and make friends too :) Share your plan with us, if you want.

Hi! I've also set my goals: - eat less than 1800 cal - mean of 10,000 steps /day - read 30 min / day

Awesome NSVs!!! Someone noticed my loss, too!!!
-
Thanks!!

Hm. Could you link the collagen brand here? I bought one that tasted like pig, and it also had lemon flavor, so it was really yuck.
-
Thanks, Connie! I didn't know this thread was here!

It's a book that has really helped me, "The Beck diet solution". I gain nothing by promoting the book. I just found it useful, and, coming to think of it, I should go back to it!

It'll all get better once TOM is over. And your trip is coming up: so exciting!!
-
It looks like you are doing great!!
-
Thank you, Connie! I needed it!

AAAhhhh!!! I got annoyed just reading your message. As someone who always handles family travel plans I know how annoying this is, albeit on a MUCH smaller scale. Hope it all gets worked out and you can get some time for yourself!

For people struggling with this issue (and those with no ED) my book recommends taking a bigger serving than one needs for the sole purpose of leaving some part of it for later. :o It seems really easy, but for me, it's not. Maybe some part of it is being raised this way: "eat everything on your plate, children don't have…

I too miss Novus! Connie, I think you are doing a great job of keeping this group lively! Thank you very much for that. Of course Laurie, amart, Alexandra, Dante and other are also posting regularly. It's always a joy to read you all!! I am interested in the daily habit posting. I could really use it as a kick in the ***…

Ah, I really don't know how people can let tasty treats go stale, or simply "forget to eat". In our house food is not thrown away, and it doesn't every reach expiry date! Actually, this is one of the things mentioned in my "diet book", that it is better to waste food than to eat it (if eating eat means getting off track).…

Great job!!
-
All the best on this break and I do hope it helps you overcome!
-
That's great!! What's your plan? What do you like to eat? Do you plan to exercise (not that you "have" to)?
-
Welcome! Wow, your story is impressive. You are very strong to have gone through everything you mention. And traveling 600 km for work is A LOT. In my previous job I used to to 60 km a day (with traffic!) and I was just miserable, it left so little time for anything else. But it is what it is and you have the advantage…

This week I made a recipe that turned out better then expected: I seared pork loin piece in olive oil, and then slow boiled them with onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and cumin. Towards the end, I added cauliflower florets on top and they were half-boiled, half-steamed. It was easy to make and quite good.

Hello! Ah, it's so wonderful you have pets! We have been thinking about adopting a dog, and even applied for it, but they said the puppy we wanted would not be a good fit for us based on the survey we filled in. We were thinking of a greyhound, as we read they tend to be quite lazy apartment dogs. But apparently they…

Lovely haircut, Connie!

These last posts are soooo inspiring for seeing your consistency and its rewards! AWESOME!

A stranger congratulated me on my pregnancy at work in front of my coworkers. I have fertility issues and have never been pregnant. The worse part is I was so wiped out that day I couldn't say anything but 'thank you'. Sooooooo embarrassing. That day I started the deficit, and this time I'm not stopping till I get to…

I had to quit eating salt for about 5 years because I was taking steroids. EVERYTHING has salt. I was reallllly bloated during that time because I couldn't really avoid salt 100%. Glad it's over. Now, my treatment only has increased risk of gout, diabetes, and tumours, that's all :|

Oh, so sorry to hear this, @joone_9!! Sending prayers your way. It's bad news, but there is hope. I think breast cancer has very good treatments available and you are young, so the odds must be looking good.

The 4 categories are not in any particular order... although I try to keep health & spiritual at the top as much as possible. I've only recently started doing this in an intentional manner, up to this year it was always work first, everything else can be as it may.

Hi! It seems like my life has about 4 major areas I am trying to keep in balance at any given point: 1. health - healthy eating, 10000 steps/day (for me), logging my food on MFP, weight loss, adherence to medication plans, not skipping dr's appointments etc. 2. work - working my full-time job and/or my side projects 3.…

@lemurcat2 @AnnPT77 : Yup, OP didn't mention anything on health and has not returned with answers. Thanks for the reply. @psychod787 : Spencer Nadalsky looks super-interesting! I'll take that tip! EDIT: Thank you for this! I am looking into his PCOS stuff right now and learning a LOT.
