Man this hits home so hard for me. My mom was recently diagnosed as pre-diabetic, and her doctor pushed drugs so hard. Instead she's counting her carbs and being careful for the next three months, and going back for followup blood work after that.

I was gone for the last long weekend did good for the most part until last night. Now I'm working to get back into ketosis for the second time in a week :( This week's daily goals are 1) 3 litres of water 2) meal plan at the start of the day 3) under 20 net grams for carbs

Last time I tried to get into MFP I just kind of faded out after a couple of weeks. This time I am going to set some goals and keep track of progress a little better. Height: 5'6" HW: 145 lbs SW: 145 lbs (August 1st) GW: 140 lbs UGW: 130 lbs I also started a C25K program and want to stick to the 3 days a week of that plan.

You know what to do! Keep at it and it will come. I recently decided to get back on a bike after years and years (and pounds and pounds) and it was so sad at first. I must say that it has gotten easier as time has gone on. Almost like it was like riding a bike :wink:

people probably are just looking for different things than you are. My guess is there are some people who love the likes and that is what they give (or they don't really care, that is a possibility too).
