Hit a bit of a milestone today. I am down 100 lbs from my starting weight in January of 2022 and I am once again down over 300 lbs from my highest weight ever in 2004. After losing 340 lbs in 2004 - 2006 I managed to keep most of it off for 5 or 6 years. I never gained it all back, but did manage to get to 400 lbs briefly.…

Thanks everyone. It really helps being part of a group. It lets you know you are not in this alone. If I can ever help anyone, please let me know.

Well, I hope you don't need the same wake up that I got. I found out I had developed nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. It is directly caused by obesity in most cases. I had done the hard work in my 40's and had gotten the weight off. Then - I can't even tell you why, I let myself gain a good bit of weight. I just slowly…

Thanks everyone for the comments and encouragement. I really appreciate it.

I see I have found a kindred spreadsheet enthusiast.

Great catch. Yea, I slanged it a bit. I use the **Mifflin - St Jeor equation to calculate BMR then apply an activity factor to come up with NEAT. I have validated that number a few times with Body Gem testing, my Apple Watch and matching to actual results. It is probably fairly close. I read an article a long time ago,…

I guess this is a reintroduction. :) Back in 2004 I had been 350 or more pounds over my ideal weight for a good part of the last 25 years. I must have been blessed with good genetics because it took awhile for that abuse of my body to start breaking it down. But, good genetics or not, when my body started to break down, it…

Did someone say numbers? :D I lost 350+ pounds and kept it off for about 7 years. I then slowly gained about 175 of that back over the next 7 years. I would lose some, then gain it back. I am committed to getting it all back off. I am on week 6 down 23.4 lbs. in 6 weeks and still down just under 200 lbs. from my high…

I got a little weight loss help. :) As a reward for losing 50 lbs, I got Invisalign. I always hated that my teeth were crooked so I thought that would be a good reward. Well don't you know, they come with a side benefit! You have to have them on 22 hours a day. Only clear water to drink while you have them in. It is a…
