Cardio every day (though it's mainly long walks, as long as the weather holds up), strength training 5 days a week. That's alternating between lower body and upper body/core with 2 days off.

Not.

I just stick with the 20% protein in the MFP defaults. I've dropped 108lbs with 50% (or slightly more) carbs. Most of my protein sources have carbs in them, after all. My main sources are legumes, eggs, Greek yogurt, seitan, tofu, tempeh and veggie meat substitutes (I like Yves and Gardein).

Check out https://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/. Not everything there is keto-friendly, but quite a bit is.

The nutrition numbers are based on 1/6 of the recipe. They estimate that to be 1 cup per serving. But you might end up with a bit over or under, depending on whether your "medium" cucumber and tomato are the same size as the recipe creator's.

I use a stability ball for a lot of my strength-training exercises. And during my rests-between-sets, I sit on it. It's a mild core-strengthener. I can't point to any one specific exercise, but I know my balance has improved since I started.

Try not to run two days back-to-back, especially when your run intervals are around 10 minutes or so. The one time I did it, it was at least more like 36 hours apart; I'd been planning to run on, say, Sunday evening before going downtown for the group run on Tuesday evening. BUT Sunday was a torrential downpour. So I ran…

Ovo-lacto vegetarian here who cooks mainly vegan. For about 9 years, I've been working my way through the 1000 Vegan Recipes cookbook. In other words, every week, when I'm planning my cooking, I know that one of the items I'm making will be whatever's "next". (I started in snacks and appetizers with Cajun Popcorn and I'm…

Actually frozen artichoke bottoms. I'm strictly kosher and besides the rules that most people are sort of familiar with (no pork, for example), there's a thing about checking produce carefully for bug infestation. There are some fruits and veg that are either considered impossible to check properly and therefore off limits…

I'm ovo-lacto vegetarian, but I cook a lot of vegan recipes. This week, I'm doing a portobello and vegetable stew with a Mediterranean artichoke saute.

Well, my main cardio has always been walking. I admit I'm doing a bit less of that now (and I'm masked and gloved when I do go out), but I have dumbbells and a glider in the basement and I've been keeping up with that.

I started almost that way. I committed to getting in a minimum 25-minute a day walk, just so I didn't spend the whole day glued to my computer, but otherwise, yeah, just counting. Over time, I've build up my exercise time; but the only 'diet' I follow is "No desserts over 200 calories per serving except on VERY special…

No carbs? So, no fruits or vegetables of any kind, then? How are you getting all your micronutrients?

And when dealing with packaged foods, the recipes and nutrition profiles can vary country to country or region to region.

I took Russian in university. That was over 20 years ago, and I've forgotten a lot, but, if you speak French at all, you'll find some similarities in syntax. The cases are tricky, but there are rules and they get easier to remember with practice. You might want to check out duolingo.com; I'm learning Welsh with it now and,…

Fewer walks, more time on the glider. Also, with fitness stores shutting down right now, I'm a little concerned about what to do when I'm ready for heavier dumbbells. The shipping on 80lbs of iron (a pair of 40s) is going to be high. For now, though, I'm ok with the 35s and hopefully by the time it becomes an issue, things…

I've been using the fitness glider in my basement a lot. I know walking is relatively safe if you practice social distancing, but I'm not taking a lot of non-purposeful strolls. Grocery shopping, yes. We're making Passover for the first time and that means needing new pots, pans, utensils, small appliances, etc. I've been…

We've cancelled plans to go away for Passover. My parents (whom we usually spend the holiday with) are in their mid-70s and Dad's been T2D. It's in remission now, but I'm not sure if COVID cares. First time ever doing it at home. We've just ordered pots and pans and I'm trying to figure out what we'll need to buy.…

Lowering calories causes fat loss. If you cut your sugar calories and didn't replace them, you lost weight. But there's no way to target where the weight comes off first.
