Yes, I indoor row. I got mine not long ago. As of last night I have logged 7400 strokes total. I'm feeling good and stronger. I'm still trying to get in the habit of using it at least 6x/wk. I'm managed 4x/wk since I bought less than a month ago.

A reminder to measure yourselves! I've been pretty frustrated with this snail-pace weight loss lately. Yesterday noticing that my pants just fit better I decided to measure myself after not having done so since establishing my goal. I lost 1.5 inches from my waist in about 40 days. Tomorrow's weigh in will probably not be…

I'm curious if those 3 days of 1200 calories resulted in some weight loss. I think doing what you did during maintenance was a smart thing. I've done the same in the past, though I probably had a bit more protein.

Nope. Not for me either. I have the hardest pounds to lose right now - the last 10-12 before reaching a goal that allows me to be comfortable give or take a couple. The weight is coming off, but it's not easy. Having a cheat meal wouldn't be too bad, or a "cheat moment." If my 16 year old is having a slice of cheesecake, I…

Well they have kept me from eating various foods that I used to enjoy immensely. My teeth are fairly straight, but my bite is off and causing some problems. I am stuck with them for a couple of years. About snacking - we can make healthy snack choices and still enjoy a bite here and there in between meals, no? With that…

I could, sure. But chips and me have a love-hate relationship if you know what I mean.

Thank you!!

Had a bunch with my lunch today! So good!

I think in the last few weeks I may have overdosed on Annie Chunn's Wasabi seaweed snacks. Taking a break. :)

I forgot about edamame! We used to buy it often. Thanks for the reminder. :)

Hi, I joined the challenge 12/3. New to challenges. How do you folks enter your new weight on your chosen dates after the editing time has expired? Or do you just report back at the end of the month/challenge?

I hear you about the PB emotions! Who knew! Well since there are 14.3 grams in a tablespoon - I'm going to stick to that. In case anyone is interested - I did not have my first PB&J until I was in my early 20s - many moons ago. It's not something that I grew up eating in Latin America or Europe where I also lived as a…

Thanks for all the feedback, people. I will take the advice of a lower calorie bread and less peanut butter and the rest. For me it has become a treat at this point. It was more of a shock than anything else. You know how sometimes you think you are pretty knowledgeable about nutrition and what the caloric amount is of…

OK. I'm in. The rower and some discipline will help me achieve the next 5lbs! Original starting weight: 135 December starting weight : 130 December goal : 125 Ultimate goal : 115 December 3: 130 December 9: December 16: December 23: December 30:

Yes. Both the Concept2 and the Sunny Health & Fitness SF-RW5515 Magnetic ( the one I purchased) can be stored against the wall. Mine is quiet as a mouse. If you can afford the Concept2 - get that one. The gym my work provides has one, and it is a great piece of equipment. I have no complaints with mine so far, and it was…

1200 calories/per day. Though it's not the end of the world if I go over a bit. I didn't measure the PB, but it seemed like close to 2tbls. The bread was 260 for both slices. The PB another 160 or so. The jelly 50. And that adds up to 470 give or take a few.
-
Love the rower!

It arrived yesterday. It took me about 45 minutes to assemble it without any glitches. I have to say I'm quite pleased so far. A Concept2 it is not, but it is a well built machine and amazingly quiet. I went straight to #7 resistance as the others just didn't seem to do it for me. I will begin a 6X/week rowing routine as…

From one vino lover to another: Since every calorie counts - if you like reds, stick to Pinot Noir. It has the least calories per 5oz class - 122cal.
