Just comparing nutrition labels a lot and pick the food with the least amount of sugar. Very often organic is the winner. But not always!
-
True, I should have listed each product individually and not have said "A lot of organic food". Holy .....!
-
Thanks. Yep, I love Halo Top too, perfect for ice cream cravings!
-
Eeeehm, did I talk about organic fruits? There are plenty of foods like cereal etc with the organic label, that taste better than regular ones. I don't even eat any fruit!
-
Yep, its my whole dinner

They don't sell the birthday cake here, will order online. I am hooked on these now

Thanks for the tip! Sounds yummy. Will try

Right, who says otherwise?

I eat a lot of USDA organic foods. But not because they are supposedly healthy. IMO they taste much better. Much more flavor and not loaded with added sugars.

For me its looking at all the overweight and obese people everywhere and thinking: I never want to be so out of shape!

Sorry. I meant where I lived in Germany, we got the first Mc Donald's sometime late 80's in my hometown, then later in the 90's a lot more Fast Food Restaurants popped up unfortunately.

Growing up in the 70's and 80's we never ate fast food. Didn't exist. Homecooking every day. Every now and then some chocolate or pudding. Even today I don't care for sugary stuff. Fast food like MC Donalds Burgers etc. is IMO disgusting. Guess how ever you grow up.

Which ones? I am curious about overall calories and the source of the protein, since almonds are not that high in protein despite being high cal. (Most almond milk really is basically just flavored water. The sometimes vaunted calcium content is added with a supplement, which is fine but in the same way that taking a…

Some Silk nut milks have 10 g Protein per serving and they are very creamy. So I prefer these over reg Milk.

How about more weightlifting?

Yes, some flavors taste better. Love this occasional treat. But here it only cost $ 4.99 at Wegmans. Store us unfortunately only on the East Coast.

For sweets: Halo Top Icecream or Nature Valley Protein Bars. For salty: Parmesan cheese Crisps or Quest Chips.

Fat people tell me all the time that I am getting to skinny (BMI 22, yeah right!) and look sick. I usually tell them: And you are fat and look sick! Funny, skinny people never say that, must be that fat people are jealous!

Turkey ground beef mixed with Black Bean Spaghetti and light Alfredo Sauce.

I love Bulk Supplement Whey Protein. No funny taste, no artificial sweeteners etc. pure and simple!

[/quote] I would respectfully disagree, and I guess it also depends what you consider "low carb". I am trying to lose the last 5-10 lbs and my goal is 1500 cals. I regularly eat @ 200g carbs a day (what I would consider moderate carb) - fruits, veggies, grains, cheese doodles, oreos, bread, pasta. I rarely feel hungry -…

High carb gives me a lot of water weight, low carb doesn't make me look puffy!
-
Right, I was very healthy already with 40 lbs more at 175 lbs. never lost that much weight for health reasons. Wanted to look better. Of course if you are 50 plus lbs overweight....different story.

Potatoes have a bad reputation because of their glycemic index. I eat them with herb quark or fried eggs. Very filling together with protein.

Cooked oatmeal mixed with greek yogurt and some berries.

Full fat and whole milk jogurts like Fage or Siggi's, Egg's, Oatmeal.

Only 3 meals a day! No snacks! Breakfast about 500 cal, lunch 600 and dinner 300. works great and I am full all day!

I think a woman would have to do some serious weightlifting plus the right nutrition (lots of calories) in order to get ripped. Why do women still think they are getting huge muscle mountains from lifting heavy weights especially when they eat at a calorie deficit?

It takes to much time? That's an excuse! You just need to set your priorities straight.
