Hi! Perhaps you are not getting enough iron, protein and/or fat? Or maybe the proteins you are choosing don't have all the amino acids/are not complete proteins? It might be useful to pop into your library and grab some reading material as well as tracking your macros.

good day -- add me if you're interested in high fives about recipes, running, if you have feral young children...

Oui allo. I am currently 162 lbs, so should I succeed at this challenge, that would put me at 154 for Christmas. Deck the halls. I was about 158 when I returned to work after kid #2 (April 2018), and I am trying to lose my back-to-work weight, and then slog my way to a before-2-kids-weight. I've been trying to incorporate…

I grew up with chips being a nightly routine. Nowadays I reach for a perrier.

Welcome! Walking is exercise for sure. I'd suggest logging it and then not eating back the calories. I find logging it satisfying and it encourages me to do it more often! You gots this, good luck.

Hi! I see that you are looking for specific suggestions. Here's a cheap, non-salad, freezer-friendly go-to of mine: https://www.skinnytaste.com/kalyns-stuffed-cabbage-casserole/ (double the paprika [try to get Hungarian sweet paprika if you can] and thyme, omit the cheese, save chopping time by using shred function on food…

Hi! Anyone welcome to add me! I like running, stairclimbers, I bike commute, and trying to navigate these things with 2 young kids.

oh also! have you ever done yin yoga? it's a slow-paced sort of passive practice where you hold postures for M I N U T E S and it helped so much with helping my body deal with marathon training good luck, you gots this

I think some people like following set plans, but you can tinker to see what works for your life. I did the 3 runs/week + cross-training (cycling for me) for 3 marathons, but I'm pretty slow and steady (~4:45). The most helpful thing: my mid-week tempo built up to half-marathon distance, and then my long runs got much…

I have a spouse who can do these things for free (and a job that would allow me to do short runs at lunch)

I am currently in 10 - 12 km distance-wise, but setting aside a couple of hours to run on the weekend with 2 young kids would be a challenge I do like swimming, cycling, and running, just not consecutively! good idea tho

climbing 147 "floors" on the stairmaster (like the CN tower)

I super enjoy the stair climber at the gym -- the one with like the actual stairs on it. I listen to a funny podcast and time flies. It's a great burn too.
-
Great tips. I'll add that thinking about why you want a snack is helpful: is it emotional eating; are you tired, bored? For me going to bed earlier or having a nap on the weekend helps.

Hi! Sorry it is a struggle. It may help to add some other types of indicators so the weight number is just part of a mosaic. Like measurements of various parts. It's entirely possible, for example, that you are gaining muscle from your awesome work outs, or dietary change or hormone fluctuations might cause you to be…

Sometimes going for a walk (or bike, etc.) can help you work through stiffness. If it is so bad you are worried about injured maybe take the time to feel better? $0.02: when doing your ab workout, do the beginner options with good form and then proceed to the trickier bits to avoid injury. You're doing awesome, keep it up.

public policies regulating what food can be served in school cafeterias, and available in vending machines, plus a milk program can provide a good start out of the gate. I appreciate my school discouraging packing junk for the kiddos (I know some parents find this annoying but hey man if it gets my kid eating raw…

This is very wise. You're doing great, keep it up.

Hi! Totally agree with the above. If you add mileage to soon or too fast, even if you have super cardio for other sports, you will hurt somewhere.
-
Hi! Congats! I used mfp while I was pregnant to avoid gaining more than the recommended weight (with success). You can manually input caloric goals -- I wouldn't suggest just setting to maintenance. Do some Googling/reading and as these folks suggest, talk to your OB. Your caloric requirements will depend on your current…
