^^ditto this. Parenting has to be the most difficult job in the world now. Kids are always going to push the boundaries, but there are so many outside influences today, that kids have at their fingertips, and at such young ages. OP, my heart goes out to you. You must be at your wits end over this. I hope you resolve this…

Grilled chicken breast with Franks, blue cheese crumbles on a low carb tortilla.

You look great in the first picture, fantastic in the second! Nice work!

I save the containers from Chinese take out, they look like these. They are great for leftovers, and microwavable. Great portion size for a serving of chicken breast and veggies, or whatever.

I am not a chip lover, but I do have chocolate every day. For me, all food in moderation, log it, make it work into daily calorie budget.
-
No, it is reward enough for achieving my mini goals. Had one this morning. -35 pounds reached in 17 weeks. 1/2 way to goal weight.

Muffin tin eggs. Make them on Sunday for the week. I put lots of veggies and either turkey sausage crumbles or ham in them, or put anything you like in them. Shredded cheese is good in them too. Bag them up in zip loc baggies and freeze. Take one out in the morning and by the time I get to work it is thawed out. Microwave…

Daughter uses them when doing long runs training for marathons.

I don't run, but I am a walker. I agree with stealthq, as that is my problem, not picking up my feet high enough. I walk in the morning (when it is still dark) before work. I tripped and banged up my shoulder pretty bad. Nothing like what you did last fall, though. But it is an issue for me of not picking up my feet high…

Then it is just a case of using the incorrect term addiction vs: impulse control & futile to discuss with someone that has the condition because they do not discern the difference between the very pronounced difference between the two. Guilty as charged :| Thanks anvilhead for clearly explaining. So not an addiction, an…

Short term, normal weight. Long term, normal weight for the rest of my life.

I am saying that it may be possible to be psychologically addicted to sugar, and you are quoting my posts. Why quote me if you are not acknowledging what I am saying? Doesn't make much sense to me. I am not trying to move any "goalposts", I am trying to be open minded and maybe acknowledge other people's very real concerns…
-
So you unequivocally claim there is no possibility for any human to be psychologically addicted to sugar. Pretty certain of you to know this for a fact, for everyone throughout all of the human population. Amazing
-
So, you are of the opinion that "I don't believe it, so it isn't". And you are saying "physical" addiction. I am not so sure that "psychological" addiction is not possible for some people, and that it can be very real. Google "is sugar addictive" are you open minded enough to consider the possibility that for some, it may…

Does she have a plan for keeping the weight off? No carbs forever? Good luck to her for long term keeping the weight off & overall health.
-
OP, did she say why she doesn't consider it exercise?
-
It definitely is exercise. 80% (or higher) of weight loss is diet. Exercise is for overall health. You can lose weight without exercising at all just by eating at a calorie deficit. A lot of people have done it, are doing it.
-
Logging. It takes time and planning, but worth the effort.

It isn't exactly a bodily function, nor is it involuntary, as breathing is. I also happen to believe that it is not an addiction (craving and overindulging in sugary foods). I have lived long enough to know that I can speak for no one else besides myself. There is no possible way to know for a fact that people that believe…

Addictive behavior, is it hard wired into us, or something we choose? People choose to smoke, drink, use illegal drugs, gambling, or whatever the addiction may be, it certainly is not a necessity of life, none the less, truly addictive to some, while others can try something once, or never, and not feel any need to ever…

My shame knew no bounds when I ate a snack size Kit Kat without breaking them apart first, and that was only two pieces. The guilt and shame was almost overwhelming :o

This topic comes up...........every..............single...........day. Some days multiple times. If you can not moderate sweets, and include in your daily calorie budget, do what you have to so you are not tempted by it. The same with any food you can not control yourself from overeating. Sugar is not evil, no food is.…

No matter what you call it, or how you are losing the weight, it is ALWAYS a result of eating less calories than your body is burning. ALWAYS. How you arrive there may have many different names, but to get there, you are eating less calories than you burn.
-
LOL! Hmmm, I thought that they have squares so you can break it apart and savor, one, delicious piece at a time. This is just wrong.
-
As others have said, water is the only thing with no calories. A lot of veggies are very low calorie, and if you prep them and keep raw veggies on hand you can have quick, low calorie snacks. I personally like celery, carrots, cucumber, bell peppers, jicama & radishes.

Everything, to the best of my ability down to the "just a taste".

Great job in 3 months! You look fantastic!

This is interesting to me. OP, just curious, does your weight fluctuate at all from day to day? Do you weigh yourself daily? I just started in January, but my weight can fluctuate day to day by 3 pounds (both ways, up and down). It sounds pretty normal to me that you fluctuate when you have special occasions/business trips…
