I agree about getting a second opinion about the CPAP therapy, especially if the sleep study indicated mild sleep apnea. And consulting a nutritionist or dietician is a great idea! It is a slow process especially when you're feeling tired and depressed, but you are so worth the effort!

Chris in sunny, glorious MA Thanks for sharing! I have a similar weight journey (57, been overweight since my 30s) and was lamenting that I will be in a nursing home when I hit my goal weight

My daughter has a friend who really hurt her feelings but she didn't want to say anything to her friend because she might be considered clingy or selfish or didn't want to lose her friend. It made me realize how hard it is to say "You really hurt my feelings" to someone. I know that I've spent a years not saying those…

Sorry, it's Jude from Chicagoland

Today I went way over my calorie count (pizza, my downfall). Not proud of that but am proud I logged it all in.
-
Thank you all for the welcomes! Meeting my goal of logging in every morsel that hits my lips and walking 3000 steps.

Ok, I'm late to the party but made it! I'm new to MFP and trying to find a group that feels right. I'm late 50's and am done done done with being overweight. I'm 208 and my goal is 135. My April goal is to log every food, every day. And to walk minimum of 3000 steps. Jude, Chicagoland

Yikes, my message got cut off! Could use some supportive older friends. But yay for you! It's easier losing the weight when you're younger plus you get to be a good role model for your 2-yr old.

I also have fibromyalgia and I know how hard it is. I'm really starting to notice how my diet affects the pain levels. Don't give up on yourself!

I'm right on the borderline and want to get it under control. I'm 57, 80 lbs overweight, and sit all day at work. What are you doing to change?
