Kylia-You are welcome to come and work in my yard any time. I do not like yard work, but I'm the only one to do it. i want to just dig up the front and toss in decomposed granite or something. The mister is walking up to .5 miles now, so we've been walking together for that. It's not much, but it's good for him. I do…

Heather-Yes, the less I go out, the more I don't want to. Although, when I do go, I nearly always have a nice time. It's just much easier to sit around in comfy clothes where no one sees me. Nice photos of your classmates. Welcome, Janette in Phoenix. 15 pounds is commendable in that short of a time. Sometimes we hit a…

Heather-Thanks for sharing the bloom photos! They are beautiful. Today is baseball opening day! We are actually leaving the house to do something social. We are going to a new pub to watch the game and have lunch. To those of you who've been to or live in Ireland, I am planning a trip there. What are your favorite places…

Heather-You and I seem to have a lot in common. I also do my prep early so I have to actually cook for least amount of time possible at dinner. I also get really annoyed having to listen to other people's loud phone conversations. I agree that it's likely a volume problem. People shout into the phone and I often hear…

Thanks, Heather. I hope the university sends a bus. That's a lot for these two. I might have to tag along just to get them to school! Not the worst thing. :) Tracey-I suspect the ants are having quite the party at my expense. However, for now, they are not on my counter tops and that is a win in my book. I had a steroid…

So, ants. I tried Terro traps and in one spot, they are attracting them well. Though I'm not sure if they are taking the bait back to the colony or they're just all using the traps as a pub and having a drunken brawl. The mister is mobile again! He walks around with a boot without any other assistance. He even got his own…

Rori—What a scare! Glad you were able to get help. Sending positive healing thoughts. Kylia-Hang in there. We are all here to listen if you need us. So glad your GS was Ok. That had to be scary for him. Passing out/Dizzy-I have been having episodes lately where I get really dizzy if I stand too quickly or pop up after…

Barbie-I think you deserve some time to just "be." Ginny-Yes, best wishes on the surgery. Allie-Glad you're doing well. Machka-Congrats on the more comfy pants and thanks for the book recommendation. I put it on my list. How is your DH coming along with his bone repair? Pip-I'm rooting for you! Barbara, Rita-Hugs.…

Hello All. I’m managing, but the mister is keeping me in my toes. Mo-i don’t know how you maintain your calm with some of these parents. I guess that’s why I’m not in the medical field. I am sick with some kind of head cold and fighting allergies. If I lean over or even look downward, it feels like my brain is oozing out.…

Welcome, Peggy. I’m right there with you. I’ve been trying to lose that gain for 5 years now. The ladies here are full of wisdom. Re-on hair…mine has never been super long, but it was down to mid back a few years ago. I got it cut short and have never let it get long again. I like it short. I use headbands to keep it out…

Lisa-The bathroom looks great! Michele-Drill a hole of you want it there. YOU live there, not the contractor. Re-I would be ecstatic to lose 1 pound a week. Congrats! Tina in CA

Question for those with plantar fasciitis. Do both feet hurt about the same intensity and does it feel like someone is hammering a nail right into the center of your heel? Thanks! Tina in CA

Yay, Allie. I’m wishing you a speedy recovery! Tina in CA

Allie-Great news on the kidney! I wish you a safe surgery and recovery. I agree with Heather about the kids. We all realize it’s the parents responsibility to take care of the kids, but Kyle’s fuse is too short and leaving them with him alone for long periods of time may not be the best for the kids. I have a situation…

Betsy-great news about your sister. Heather-I loved John’s joke. Made me giggle. Lisa-Egg is such a great emotional support pet. I got a dozen eggs on sale today for only $8.50. I felt like I got a steal! Tina in CA

I’m slowly making my way through, but I wanted to comment on Michele’s bathroom toilet roll holder issue. The person who uses TP every single time she goes to the toilet should have the final say as to where the TP is. So, stick to your guns on that one! 😁 The mister and I have switched bathrooms for now (mine is better…

Hello dear friends! I am sorry for being MIA. But we are all ok here. No major fires nearby, thankfully. One small one was close, but they put it out very quickly. We didn’t have anything nearly as devastating as they had up in Los Angeles. I have been occupied with other things. I’m trying to catch up since January. I…

We have more problems with the rats. We have to keep all our plants trimmed back so they cannot use the leaves as springboards.

We got baffles for the shepherd's hooks. They work beautifully. Tina in CA

It's not stupidity. It's because the hydrants are supplied by tanks that are dry to to lack of measurable rain and other fires in the same area that they just put out. They haven't had time to replenish. Tina in CA

Hello all, The fires are still burning ferociously. the Eaton fire near Pasadena is 0% contained according to Cal Fire. The Palisades fire near the coast is 8% contained. So not much progress. Down here, we are still ok. We have lots of wind over night, which is highly unusual. I’m sure it’s worse up in the LA area. It’s…

I am sure she did land in haze. The Palisades fire, which is nearest is over 15,000 acres now. There is one near Pasadena that is over 10,000 and a lot of smaller ones around, so there is a lot of smoke in the Los Angeles area. Down here, some small ones popped up today, but nothing over 10 acres so far. We are not getting…

Hi All, No fires in my county so far. I think most of the wind was north of us, hence the fires. There are 4 of them near Los Angeles. The one in Pacific Palisades (likely getting the most press because it's wealthy) and a decent sized one near Pasadena, and two others. There is also a small one in the desert (Coachella),…

Oh Allie-That pic of Delia is so cute! And what a nice birthday for Miles. We are getting all kinds of weather warnings today. However, if you look out the window, you can't believe it. Dangerous winds, rain and snow in the mountains. Hard to believe. Tina in CA

I'm here. I think I posted earlier this month. At least I remember typing it. You're welcome! Tina in CA

Tracey-The lights are wonderful. It looks so cozy! Nice to see you Kelly. Welcome back, Carla. Carol-Thinking about you and your husband. Hope he's on the mend. Vicki-Hope all goes well with your husband's surgery. Thanks to all who have shared photos. It's nice to be taken along on your journeys and to see the kids grow…

Happy New Year to all of those who have already arrived there! I have just under 13 hours to go. The mister is smoking a brisket and burgers and we may invite a meat-eating friend over later. He bought the smoker after visiting my dad earlier this month and he's been smoking up the neighborhood nearly every day since. We…

I've read The Midnight Library and really enjoyed it. Enough to probably read it again. I watched several episodes of Firefly Lane when it was on Netflix or Amazon Prime or something. It was well done, so I suspect the book is better. Tina in CA

Barbie-I'm so sorry to read about Jake. Sending big hugs. Tina in CA

Well, I realized that I posted on November. That's how far behind I am. Just wanted to drop in and say hi. I'll try to post more later, though I don't know if I'll ever catch up. Rebecca-Thank you so much for the card! I get so few these days. No one sends them anymore. Happy holiday to all of you. Tina in CA
