I choose the strength training option.

I’ve been at this for over a year now and although I’ve averaged 1.5lbs a week loss most of my losses have been wooshes. I’ll go 2-3 weeks with little to no loss and then bam 5lbs gone. If nothing else it has taught me to be patient with the plateaus as long as I know I’m doing everything I’m supposed to.

Oh trust me it’s there. Mainly my legs and arms.

Staying within my calorie budget and I do kickboxing classes 5-6 days a week. It’s taken me a year. I have a completely sedentary desk job so I have to workout.

Starting weight 287. Current weight 199. From a 22 to a size 12.

I’m tall and my weight is evenly distributed. I’m already being told to stop losing weight. I just left the obese category. I still have 30lbs to go to be in normal range. Usually me response to people is a still have a high percentage of body fat to be considered healthy or they haven’t seen me naked and that shuts them…

Still a work in progress but 73lbs down so far.

@RetiredAndLovingIt I’m 5’10”

@Motor_Election Thank you! I do kickboxing 4 days a week and strength training 2-3 days a week. It’s made a huge difference. Despite still weighing 215lbs I look much smaller.
-
@Yosita Stay within your calories and it will com off. Trust the process even when it doesn’t seem like the scale is moving.
-
@pinksunnyrose I do not yet. I’m a little squishy in places and the skin has started to pucker for lack of a better description. I do still have about 40lbs to go. I anticipate I’ll have a bit on my arms and thighs but nothing crazy.

Whenever I jump with the kids I just turn on my workout app on my Apple Watch so it tracks my heart rate.

I’m not there yet but I’m well on my way. I was 286lbs And I’m now 218. I also do kickboxing and it is amazing for working those muscles. I’m 2 sizes smaller than I was last time I was this weight because of the muscle I have. My goal weight is 175.

Down 63lbs with 50 more to go.

I do high intensity kickboxing and had a hard time with my energy levels while on keto. My energy was completely zapped and struggled to stay awake past 7pm most nights. For me I’ve made more muscle gains following a higher protein lower carb (under 150g) way of eating. I also have WAY MORE ENERGY.

These right here are amazing. I honestly don’t care for anything cotton candy flavored and I had bought them for the kids but they are soooo good. They are only 160 calories. They also carry a salted caramel for 170 calories. I fit them into my calories/macros 2/3 days a week (sometimes more)…

@jowen54 Kickboxing! It helps tone both. I also use resistance bands for strength training and a weighted ball for sit-ups and crunches.

Thanks! I sent you a friend request. I’m 5’10” too! I was 175 for about a week before I got pregnant with my son. I was a size 10. I got down to about 190 before the second one came along. Done having babies! I’m definitely ready to get back to that size. We can do this!

Great job!

I want to learn to do a cartwheel. I was always too scared I couldnt support myself and I’d bust my face. One day...

@gingilebanon2012 are you weighing your food? I eat right at my calories and only eat back a portion of my exercise. I’ve been steady losing since October with no stalls. I find that using a good scale is very eye opening to what an actually portion is.

Download a trending app such as happy scale. My weight fluctuates A LOT but as you can see I’m trending down. I’ve been at this since the end of September and I’ve had my weeks were I’ve struggled despite doing everything “right”. I’ve second guessed myself and wondered if I should do something different. No matter what…

Friend request sent! I’m 5’10” and I’m pretty active on MFP. SW: 286 CW: 244 GW: 180 I workout 5-6x a week and log daily.

When I started in October I was up to my highest weight of 286. I’m now down to 244. I have small 10lb goals so my next goal is 239. My first big goal is Onederland.
-
I started at 286 and I’m now down to 245. I still have 80lbs to go but I’m committed to the long haul. I’m losing in average of 1.5-2lbs a week.

Great job!
