Will that level still control blood glucose? I have brought mine back down to normal levels (30 mmol UK measures) on 30 grams a day and would like to ease back a bit. Still aim to not have bread, potatoes, rice and pasta but would like more veg and fruit.

11 round the table at our holiday home in Norfolk. Rerun of Christmas, turkey crown and all the trimmings, Brussels with lardons, runner beans, roast swede and celeriac and potatoes for everyone else. Berries and cream for me and deserts various for the rest of them. It will be great.

I have found it useful to use the barcode reader in the food diary. I had to have it pointed out to me by my son in law! It saves having to input values individually

Crustless quiche (eggs,mushrooms pancetta, cheese) with avocado 2 cherry tomatoes and coleslaw. Very filling and tasty.

I am n UK and if I go with the grandchildren I will have a salad bowl with grilled chicken and bacon which is 4 grams of carbs and quite tasty!

No photo as I don't like to do that in a restaurant. Lunch out with daughter and daughter in law and friends who had done a 10 k in Wimbledon. Hake, brocolli, samphire and salsify with side salad . Followed by shared cheese board with my OH, he had the crackers and cheese I had cheese and half a dozen grapes!

I'm keeping my carbs down to keep the diabetes under control. Hope to be able to reduce blood pressure tablets later this year if weight loss continues

SI joint pain much reduced after losing over 10kilos. Also snoring much less now so my O H is pleased!!

For those in U.K. Lidl do a low carb high protein roll and Waitrose stock a cut bread called Lovlife both are lower carb than standard bread.

I have made cloud bread which is OK but tend to use Lidl high protein rolls or Lovlife seeded bread. These are really bread but low carb and, in my case, don't cause spikes in blood glucose. There are a lot of recipes on low carb sites that call for whey protein, not sure where we would get it in U.K., perhaps Holland and…

Oh dear hate to say it but I am too European!! Only weigh myself and food in grams and kilos!! Have to keep converting everyone else's weights. I started at 92k in May,lost half kilo this week, now at 83.7. Would like to get to 75k but more than that to reduce HB1ac and amount of Metformin I take.

Yes I've got White Coat Syndrome! My practice nurse just asks for my home BP readings. Other benefits - I've been told I snore less, I have less reflux and less wind. Win win all round !!!

I am a cheeseaholic! Loving the fact that on a low carb high fat diet for diabetes I can smack on it, make a sauce of it or even base a whole meal on it. Soft, hard,blue, strong or mild I love them all. Apart from cottage I have never thought it actually merits the name of cheese.
