Just seen the practice nurse HB1Ac down to 40 (5.8%) from 67 (8.3%) and Metformin dose halved in 6 months. Bloods are the best for 10 years!!
Would like advice on where now. Could still do with losing weight but could I have a few more carbs? Currently I have about 30 to 50 grams.

Congrats on your bloodwork getting better! that's definitely a good feeling
Are you tracking your food and calories? I am eating carbs without an issue, but they have to fit in my caloric goals and I'm losing weight successfully. Good luck!1 -
I'm keeping my carbs down to keep the diabetes under control. Hope to be able to reduce blood pressure tablets later this year if weight loss continues0

I got off metformin also. I have kept my diet where it was to get off. 45-60 carbs at meals and 15-30 at snacks. I didn't get it to 5.8 from 7.5 by eating more than that so I figure why change?1
