Track everything in your MFP diary. It will tell you how many calories are in your food, and how many calories you are burning in your workouts. Keep an eye on portion size. When you complete your diary at the end of the day, it will tell you if you have a deficit or a surplus of calories. If you have a deficit number in…

Yes. My anonymity was broken and I never went back. I do another 12 step program for other issues. I apply those principles to all my addictive behaviour, including over eating

It sounds to me like you are on a good track. Modify as needed and carry on! So glad you are here! Aggie SW 431 CW 381 GW 230ish

Yes for me. For me, it is sustainable and it has become a way of life. I feel full for the first time in my life. I'm losing weight and feeling well. I have a history of binge eating that I suffered from for almost 30 years. Keto is the first way of eating that has ever put me into remission

Done and all good now

I answered my own question. Two days of keto flu. Good times.....

I can't see your diary. That being said, it sounds like you are doing fine. Don't panic about not losing weight yet. Google the "whoosh" effect. I didn't know about it until someone on here told me about it. I believe you will see a big weight loss soon.

Thanks everyone. There was a couple of days where my carb intake went very high, but for most of these days, I was between 100-200g. My carb intake had been 10-30 per day for three months prior to this. I gained 6 lbs during the break and I am certainly not going to be doing this again! I had a tonne of fluid retention and…

Thanks! That's the first I have heard of this. It appears that is exactly what was happening.

There are some books out there that speak about things like this. Try checking out "When Food Is Love" by Geneen Roth to address the emotional aspects of cravings and denying ourselves things

I have sought counselling. That's how I figured this out in the first place. Now that I know what's going on, I thought I'd share

Anxiety. Anger. Any feeling of being excluded from something

I haven't either. I'm finding my bowels aren't working right since starting LCHF 10 weeks ago. I'm wondering if a higher fibre intake might help.

My scale says I've gained 6 pounds this week. But I've lost an inch on my waist. This makes zero sense to me lol!

What helped me was reading "When Food is Love" by Geneen Roth. Or any of her other books for that matter.

Oh my dear, I really hope you have nicer guys in your life than that! And that you realize that you are valuable and worth a man's best manners, not his derision.

Under calories. Hoping it's just water. I'm just being paranoid, I guess. I just get freaked out because I have been working so hard. I can't work any harder so, if I'm gaining weight, i am screwed

In terms of deciding on what goals should be, I would toss the BMI chart out the window. It's a very narrow gauge that doesn't really work. For me, I am thinking back to a time in my life where I once felt comfortable in my body. For me, that was around 220 lbs.

Yup, 6' 1/2" here!

I don't think I really had an 'aha ' moment but rather, it's been a process. My primary reason for over eating was emotional. I had suffered serious abuse in childhood and food never let me down. I was addicted to it, then to food and alcohol, then to food, alcohol, and drugs. When I was younger, I was active enough that…
