Because I still can't see my abs. I'll cut until I see my abs, then stop and start slowly adding muscle. 5'6 and 6'0 is a gulf of difference, but you clearly have more muscle, hence why you're nearly the same weight. I don't have much yet.

Okay, thanks everyone! I will try to be more patient but I just wanted to check I wasn’t doing something wrong that was blocking me. My sodium levels are probably still too high, for example.
-
I'm logging accurately. Dont even start this argument. Dont even respond to this post please.
-
I do lift yeah but much less than before because on lower calories I just feel sluggish and *kitten*. I don't have the energy to get into the gym as much as I did. Plus all my lifts have gone down. I have had a very reasonable diet for the past 3 months and yet my weight has gone down by about 3 lbs at most.

I have fat all over me and no visible abs. I'm probably 20%+ bodyfat. Yes I want to go lower.
-
Actually I was the one who was insulted, if you read the other posts you can see that. That’s what I was referring to with the hive mentality statement. But yeah, forget it
-
Just LOL. God is punishing me
-
This hive mind thing you guys engage in is very similar to reddit posters, it’s quite funny. When I log I leave out a meal here or there. I don’t know if you were aware, but food packaging LISTS THE CALORIES OF SAID FOOD. Thus, you can quite easily do a piece of simple mental arithmetic to figure out whether said food will…
-
For all those suggesting it - my logging is perfect. If I don’t put a food in there it’s because I already know its calorie density and do the math in my head instead
-
Who are you exactly?

I've got a small frame so at 190 I look quite fit and broad with clothes on, but without them I have a gut. As to everyone else replying I think my point is this: my weight should be going down daily considering I have cut my water and sodium intake and my calories are stripped back to the bone.
-
I'm actually going to be getting jaw surgery hopefully next year - its for aesthetic reasons though and will involve a BSSO and lefort1 (breaking both jaws and sliding them forwards). In most cases of jaw surgery you are unable to eat solid foods for a good month at the minimum (so I've heard from various surgeons). Up…

I go by what the scale tells me. I don’t seem to burn many cals at rest, hence why I ballooned to over 200lbs from 180 in the space of a month eating 3200 cals a day.
-
I honestly think 1800 is about right for me  I really have very little patience. I want to get back in the gym eating at a surplus again, so I want this to be over as quickly as possible. If I go over 2000 its going to be slow as hell.
-
Im cutting my sodium down. I touched a new low of 187.6 the other day, before binging on 4.5k cals over the weekend which I accept was my fault. I'm also altering my diet to include more satiating foods. It is still very hard though.
-
Are you measuring your foods / calorie intake correctly? Maybe you're underestimating how many cals you're actually taking in.
-
That's a good plan, yes. I have a huge appetite though so its very hard to have smaller meals, when I eat I eat big.
-
Went out last night. Had 900+ calories spare for dinner. Ate some sourdough bread, 1 bottle of beer, 1 duck curry and some small shrimp. Woke up today and am 194 lbs. FOR *kitten* SAKE The meal wasn't even that large!! So I probably hit 2700 cals - yet 4 lbs gain?!!??!
-
I want to get to 175 or possibly lower so that’s a 15 lb loss atleast. If I eat like a normal guy (2000+) the scale is going to go up just like it always has in the past.
-
As soon as I hit my goal I’ll stop making these threads and stop being obsessive, but it just feels like I’m killing myself and not being rewarded. Enrages me when guys say they eat 2.5k cals and lose a 1lb per week easy. Im going to bed hungry every night and for what? Maybe the same weight on the scale the next day if…

I eat veg, just dont track it in diary. I used to lift alot while bulking, put on a good amount of muscle but a ton of fat too. I work out 2-3x a week trying to maintain my strength on all my lifts.
-
It seemingly does have to be miserable, because whenever I raise my calories above 2000 my weight loss stalls! And yes, I try very hard to keep everything within calorie limits! Thanks
-
Thank you. With my eggs I usually scramble with a bit of frylight (the 1kcal cooking spray). I find burgers are very satiating for me and help me feel like I'm not on a diet! Stupid really but hey, after trying to lose weight so long I need home comforts.
-
My diary is open. I guess I consume a fair amount.
-
Diary is open Yes I meticulously weigh everything. Its taking the fun out of food actually.
-
I want 2lbs per week loss, I dont have to eat 1500 cals a day to do that, Imho.
-
hmm. Not really, I had 2 pints and a bottle of Sol, nothing crazy. I guess im just frustrated with my overall progress. It's taken me over 3 months just to lose about 10 pounds. I thought i'd be at 180 by now MINIMUM. I've changed my diet and reduced my portion sizes and I'm just not being rewarded for the work I put in.
-
Why would I retain more water on a day when I drank zero alcohol and was under 2000 cals??? Of all the times the scale should've gone up it should've been yesterday (the day after drinking)
-
In response to the guy asking about my weight
-
I don't use it because mfp gives me a 1500 calorie goal as a 6'1 male who walks 3-4 miles a day. My sex drive is already tanking from eating only 1800. So sod that
