My dad also calls it brekkie. :D fond memory...

I can't skip breakfast! I typically eat canadian bacon, cereal, a piece of fruit and 1 piece of toast for breakfast around 10am and that fills me up at about 500 calories. Canadian bacon is super low calorie. I then have a small lunch around 2-3pm and bigger dinner at 7ish. If I skip any meal I end up starving by the end…

I switched to black to save on cals. I miss my italian sweet cream with whipped cream and chocolate syrup on the cream.

Yeah, the majority of them are overweight, but even 15% of them being at a normal BMI is (was) surprising to me. Or maybe that's just me.

My boyfriend always says he's proud of me but will complain if I start talking about how I've managed to stay under 1600 calories for the day :D

Why is it hard for you? Is it the energy you have to put into cooking? If it is, I'd suggest buying a George Foreman grill, your fave frozen veggies in a bag (microwave in bag), and rice that you also just pop into the microwave in the bag. I literally made dinner with 3 minutes of prep time the other night with grilled…

Yeah, someone should do that. Someone should be our lab rat. *rubs hands together*

I'm big on breakfast and eat a smaller lunch, typically. 1 hard boiled egg, 1 piece of whole grain white toast + light butter, 3/4 cup cheerios + 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk, 8 fl oz orange juice, a peach, and 2 pieces of canadian bacon. 520 calories!

I work at a hospital; it's sad to see the amount of people struggling with type 2 diabetes. Many have to have toes and feet amputated. Some are even skinny-- like actually skinny. You'd be surprised.

No, celery, iceberg lettuce and cucumbers are great because they can't hurt you even if you eat a shitton of them. French fries can hurt you if you eat a lot of them, I'd say anything over 2 servings per week over time would be detrimental to your arteries and heart, especially since you're probably eating other lipids in…
-
Well lipids clog your blood vessels, so that's one :)

I feel like I'm the opposite... to me, 1 or 2 lbs per week is GREAT progress! I've lost 4.2 lbs so far, over almost a month, and I can already fit better into my jeans and shorts. That's incredible!
-
I stepped on the scale about a month ago and it surprised me so badly that I committed myself to it. Haven't looked back since

I don't know the exact amount when it can become troublesome, but I do know for a fact that high sodium levels over time can do severe damage to your heart. It affects its contractility and consequently blood pressure. High bp over time leads to heart disease. Source: Just read it in my anatomy and physiology textbook.

You could run or swim to try to make up for eating a portion of bad food as well. Not the greatest solution but I do that before going out to eat. I also try to eat a small breakfast and lunch as well. Also, remember that it's ok to eat a smallish portion of bad food but if you eat a huge portion that's what's going to get…

Hey, I literally just tried this the other day, my coworker brought it in. Made fun of her for being too darn healthy. Surprisingly it was pretty darn good. Tasted like a nut.

I don't see how people can do that. I can't skip a SINGLE meal. Actually, I used to when I was younger, but now that I'm older (31) if I skip a meal it's like my blood sugar drops to insane levels and I start feeling hangry, tired/exhausted, somewhat queasy, shaky, etc. It just isn't worth it to me. I do usually take…

Popsicles. Italian ice popsicles are 60 calories and bomb pops (red white and blue) are 40. They satisfy my sweet tooth and are not high calorie, it's a win win.

Do all fit bit models have an option to figure out your stride? I just use S Health on my phone

I didn't even see your post and I posted about the same thing about these low carb fanatics. Yes I get the science behind it but I'm also losing weight by just counting my calories and eating in moderation! Geez people.
