  • @scookie0403 How are you coming along with your goals?
  • @gal4u2nv My usual macros are at 15%/50%/35%, highest on Fat. I try to get between 120g to 150g of fat in addition to keeping my carbs below 30g if I can on my Keto days. On my carb day I lower fat to around 10%, all still trying to maintain my deficit. I have learned that everyday is different and sometimes I will go over…
  • @chrissydag01 I am not going to lie, it takes me about 2 to 3 days to get back into ketosis. I then stay on keto for 4 days then have a carb day. As far as starvation mode goes for I.F. I am sure that the benefits of I.F. stretch to about 48 hours.
  • @Tamiwynell The I.F. protocol is simple, you don't eat for a prolonged period of time and wait for a feeding period to open up later on in the day. This in turn creates a period of mild ketosis from not eating for 16+ hours "Lean Gains" protocol (16 Hour Fast/ 8 Hour Feeding Window) , in addition the period of time you are…
  • @tdchurches I have lost a total of 19 pounds with I.F. and I lost 8 pounds with Keto since I started. It is definitely a hard road living the Ketogenic lifestyle. I have much admiration and respect for anyone that can achieve and maintain this diet for a prolonged period of time. It takes extra discipline and dedication to…
  • That's great that you are starting back on Keto. I am sad to hear that you only lost a few pounds on IF, you have to make sure maintain a 500 calorie deficit. This helped me continuously lose and never gain weight, I believe whole heartedly that it is a phenomenal tool to use in aiding in weight loss. It has challenged me…
  • I am at a bit of a plateau, I am switching my macros for the next 2 weeks. I am mixing keto in with my IF. Hopefully it can help give me a bit of a push.
  • My fave is taco Tuesday lettuce wrap. I use ground turkey, taco seasoning and fresh lettuce leaves. They are mmm mm good!
  • Im ready for February, I started working out at least 4 times a week. I knock out my cardio first, so I don't try to sham out on it at the end. I am feeling pretty sore but I know that that's a goo sign that I put in work. "Lets Do This", lets get it!
  • Thank you so much, she turned 4. She is too funny and acts like she is 35.
  • If you do finally follow that great advice from your spouse. I think you should choose 2 meals that you absolutely love, like whatever your 2 all time favorite dishes are. This will make it more fulfilling, and by all time favorites I mean those 2 meals you could never get tired of. The deserted Island 2 meals.
  • Looks like you are still on track to me, even with today being a total Monday. You made healthy choices early in the day and you are finishing strong. Maintain!!!
  • Cheating is mandatory! I say out of a month 15% of that month should be devoted to cheat meals. That's about 4.5 days, which for me come on the weekend either Saturday or Sunday of each week I find one meal to get it in! Not an entire day of cheating, but a meal.
  • @scookie0403 It's not a sprint but a marathon. Keep up the good work!
  • Keep up the great work @amandacmariej
  • My nutrition was atrocious, I was at my daughters birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese and I got there at fast break time. Needless to say, I ate some pizza ooooh and a couple of cupcakes. I am back to normal today, im happy I got the opportunity to break from the usual. I believe that having a time to "cheat" on your meal…
  • @scookie0403 and @amandacmariej you all are right! I think around the 3 week mark is when you have made something a habit. It is so easy for me to log my food now. I log everything to stay accountable, the good the bad and the ugly. I am starting to see results and I just cant wait to see what will happen once my workouts…
  • @scookie0403 my pleasure!

  • Check this out. https://youtu.be/wifHZ9Qe5H4 I hope it helps and please let me know what you think.
  • My water intake yesterday was lacking, today I must step it up. I am going for a gallon by nightfall. I feel like my habits are becoming more like muscle memory or natural. I wish to continue seeking wellness and additional ways to enhance my weight loss journey. I hope to make it past the 30 day threshold, habits are more…
  • @amandacmariej It was my pleasure, and I am proud to serve every single day. Please keep me posted on what you come up with after your research of IF. I will tell you this IF isn't a diet it's life. Enjoy your day and all the ones that follow, I too wish you nothing but the best and much success!
  • @scookie0403 and @amandacmariej
  • Great question! Well the event that led me to even begin my journey with intermittent fasting was really an accident. I am in the Army and have typically been active my whole career, up until I landed a desk job at Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Maryland. I worked there for 3 1/2 years and have since moved another…
  • Hi everybody, I love that you all are trying to lower carbs. I am trying a week of the ketogenic diet in addition to my fasting. I hope I can achieve some great results. My energy level is pretty good even with the low to no carbs. I think I can slightly attribute this to the black coffee with no cream or sugar in the…
