In 2009, after losing 50 lbs on WW and making lifetime, I wound up in the hospital undergoing a triple bypass. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks, a week and a half before surgery and three days after. When I left I no longer fit into the clothes I was wearing when I went in. I was also extremely constipated. It's taken me…

Moving more has been a huge benefit for my on my weight loss journey, especially running. I had stagnated on WL using just tracking through MFP but when I started running again on a regular basis (4 - 6 times a week) I started to lose. It has also helped me to get off a couple of the blood pressure meds I was on. If I…

Good morning! Day 1 of a long work week ahead of me.

I run into this occasionally at work. I struggle with wanting to get as much as I can cuz the company is paying, but at the same time I try to be sensible to not overdo it. I have had more success with this lately since restarting WW. In the past I would have way over-eaten. I go with the advice from years ago to make…

Which is why I had "only" in quotes. But that was her previous mindset. It's now "I lost 1/2 a pound." This is a huge change for her. edit: This should credit Al. I think I screwed up when trying to just quote a portion of it.

One my wife shared at WW today is that small losses are still a loss. Don't beat yourself up that you "only" lost 1/2 pound. It is still a loss and a step towards the goal. Change the mindset.

Ten years ago when I first started with WW I lost 50 lbs in a year to reach my goal weight. Life then intervened and I had to stop going to WW for several years. I gained back most of that. About a year ago I started using MFP to track food and exercise. This worked to an extent. I got down to 200 lbs but stalled out. I…

One that surprised me was a non-fat mocha from Starbucks. I thought I was being wise going for the non-fat but when it came out to 17 points I was a bit taken aback. Bonus question: I started out using manual typewriters so two spaces was the norm with mono spaced type. In the early 90s I started using computers and doing…

Yes, I do run. Not as fast as I was but I try to get out a few times a week. Wildfire smoke interrupted it for a week but I'm back at it. I use MapMyRun and Zombies, Run! to track my runs. It is good to find this group again. It helped quite a bit last time.

I remember that phrase from 2009! I think I still have the wrist band that were made somewhere around here. I've moved a couple times in the ensuing years so I don't know exactly where it might be. For me Making The Better Choice involves dessert choices. That has always been my downfall in the past, especially with ice…

Old time GoaDie here. Originally in the group on WW back in 2008/2009. I originally reached goal in April 2009. Then a couple months later I underwent a triple bypass, job loss, bankruptcy, etc and had to stop WW. It's been a long journey back to health for me. I restarted WW in April and got back to my goal weight about a…
