  • 88olds, Thank you so much. It's very difficult sometimes to just step aside and be reasonable when all the emotion becomes overwhelming. Even when I know it's ultimately holding me back thinking in such a negative way. I feel like the determination has somehow escaped and I'm trying to find it but I am looking in the wrong…
  • I really want to work on lifting weights and gaining some definition. I also nee to lose more weight but I am on the right track. I also want to be more consistent with my exercise as I have been slacking with it recently...so, here I am at 07:00 having done 3 short work outs already. One at 3am, the next at 4am and the…
  • Best wishes to you! I have been at this for 2.5 years now and after much indulgence over the holidays, I feel like I am starting from scratch! Started this morning off well... :)
  • I've lost 129lbs so far but still have a little more to lose. I'm determined! I started in June 2018 and was initially CICO but the weight loss slowed down a great deal after a year and so I have been doing keto since July 2019. I am also OMAD and try not to go over 1,300 calories per day but I do sometimes go over that. I…
  • I had double what you have to lose and I’ve lost over 100lbs. It’s hard but it’s doable — you CAN do this. :)
  • Probably not the advice you’re looking for but to be blunt — just do it. :)
  • I’ve been doing keto for 8 months now. The first six months I was extremely strict and didn’t have a single cheat meal in that time. I had carbs over Christmas, which felt great but I’ve been strict again ever since. Sometimes I do find it difficult since I really miss many things but actually, I’m eating much more variety…
  • I’ve recently been told that I’m too obsessed with food and weight loss and not to lose too much more because it won’t suit me. I’m still 40lbs overweight! I have to be obsessed, my life matters.
  • I’ve also lost just over 100lbs. I still have another 50 to go but that feels so much better than having 150 to lose :) well done, I know how difficult it is.
  • Hi Chris. I know that feeling all too well...I lost a lot of weight when I wa 25 but gained it all back too — I was so angry with myself but I know that’s silly now...being angry with myself is wasted energy and I need a lot of energy to focus on loving myself instead. The good thing is that YOU’RE HERE! You have taken the…
  • I’ve lost over 100lbs since I started in June 2018. I am so happy but still have a bit to go so I think I’ll be ramping the exercise up a gear come January. I’d like to try C25K and see how I get on. I just know that the me of two years ago is so proud of the me of today :)
  • I’ll be in onederland very soon. I haven’t been there since I was about 16 lol.
  • I reached 88lbs (6 stone, 4lbs) lost today so my mini goal is to reach 100lbs lost within the next few weeks. :)
  • That’s what I’m thinking. I sure hope so anyway. :)
  • I have no idea as there is no nutritional information provided regarding the sauce, either on the main box or in the sachet. That’s why I’m so confused.
  • Thanks, Ang. I guess Philadelphia isn’t as bad as I remember.
  • I seem to remember seeing it in the past also but can’t find it.
  • Hi there. I’m starting keto again this week. I’m looking for recommendations on best places to find keto products as I found my local supermarket to have little options. For example....a low carb cream cheese...Tesco only had Philadelphia and it seems to have a lot of carbs.
  • Never heard of this. Thanks for the suggestion.
  • Interesting indeed. Thanks for sharing.
  • Precisely. If people lose weight and are able to create an enjoyable lifestyle, there's no real reason as to why they shouldn't be able to keep the weight off without surgery.
  • Wow, you look amazing. Well done to you for maintaining such a huge weight loss. You're now one of my inspirations. :)
  • Thanks everyone. This is most certainly a mental challenge more than anything and I think anyone who embarks on the weight loss journey needs to realise that it's a permanent mental challenge; I think acknowledging this from the get go is the best thing and will set people up much better for success. Having said that...I…
  • I have never been one for alcohol. I used to drink very occasionally but only because I felt pressured into doing so as my friends always complained when I didn't want to drink. These days, I don't care what anyone thinks. I don't enjoy alcohol and I'm not going to force myself to drink it to please anyone. I may try it on…
  • It's been a while since I posted in here but thought I'd update it -- I've now lost well over 60lbs. I'm still determined and am working very hard. I have already proven myself and am proud of myself. Can't wait to lose more though! :)
  • Hi all. Feel free to add me too. I’m close to my half way point but still have about 90lbs to lose. I don’t really log my food (some people only like friends who log everything)but I am very active on here.
  • I have a few items of clothing I’ve also had for at least 15 years and refused to throw out because I KNEW I would ft into them again one day. Some I fit into again but others, not quite yet. I don’t even like half of them but I’m a bit weird when it comes to throwing things away. Charity shops it is i think, lol.
  • Yes I think it’s all about the individual and how they respond to the way of eating. I don’t like keto because I feel too much like I’m dieting, an that was what I wanted to avoid from day 1. This is a lifestyle and I don’t want to feel restricted, I want to merely be sensible.
  • Haha, I know what you mean about the ketovengalists! I find it too restrictive to keep it up long term — gimme bread, damnit! lol. I think CICO is best for me.
  • Hi all. I’m half way through my month of keto. Not enjoying it tbh but I gave myself the challenge so I’m sticking with it until the end so that’s my current goal. :)
