  • Amynew4u February Week 1 PW: 279 CW: 278 This is my 3rd month - started at 301#. I’ve gone up and done a bit, but have been ill (much like les) since Christmas. Heading into Feb feeling better and just finished 2nd round of antibiotics! Mini goal - end of Feb: 268 Mini goals are key for me! If I look at the total amount I…
  • January Week 5 PW: 277.6 (I think?) CW: 279 Finally on the mend (second round of antibiotics) in the frigid midwestern temps, 3rd day of no school for kids! Wind chills in the negative -40s?! This wasn’t my month, but staying honest and continued logging is still a step forward vs. quitting! Time to set goals for FEB!
  • Another thing to remember. Not GAINING weight is a victory! Staying the course during plateau phases - it is rough - but we must celebrate the fact that we are not gaining as we might have been prior to this lifestyle change. Also, try a significant increase in water intake. The cleanse, full feeling and very basic “reset”…
  • Amynew4u January Week 4 PW: 281 CW: 277.4 Back on track and ready to head into the last week strong. February I am GOING to kick this bronchitis and sinus infection ... amazing losses by so many this month. Congrats!
  • username: amynew4u January Week 3 PW: 276 pounds CW: 281 pounds Back from Puerto Rico. Keeping it real here with posting the gain. Lying doesn’t help anyone in this process and I’ve promised that I won’t lie to MYSELF anymore or this won’t be a permanent lifestyle change. Also, it was a week of tropical drinks and salty…
  • Username: amynew4u Week: January Week 2 PW: 276.0 lbs CW: 276.0 lbs I’m ok with this considering how ill I’ve been - still not fully recovered! I’m headed to Puerto Rico tomorrow to see HAMILTON with Lin-Manuel Miranda! Lots of walking, hiking and outdoor adventures planned. Signs of new lifestyle already ...
  • WOW! Fantastic! Going to be living it up for you (and hopefully with you) as you crush those major milestones. Congrats.
  • Look at YOU GO! Way to lead! All of that consistent tracking and exercise is so evident. You inspire!
  • @LesIckaBod - double ear/sinus infection and bronchitis- hope you are better off than me! I clearly waited too long for meds! Rest and fluids will make calorie control manageable. Inside, stretching and strength work for a few days ...
  • @craigs3154 I’m curious what your vast research says re: exercise whilst sick? Specifically related to chest congestion/bronchitis oriented illness. Thx!
  • Hang in there! I may need to follow suit! I’m 12 days into this sickness and not much better! The cough and congestion is fine at home, but heading back to clients and work tomorrow- ugh. Hoping to ramp up into a long walk tomorrow as temps will rise above sub zero! Happy New Year all!
  • Username: amynew4u Week: January Week 1 PW: 280 CW: 276 Hi to all and welcome! December was my first month with Gutbusters and it really helped me stay on track! I started MFP October 21 at 301# and set my first mini goal at 275 by Dec. 31. Keeping it real - missed it by 1 pound!! Into January we go - we’ll be here for…
  • Username:- amynew4u Week 4 PW:- 279 CW:- 280 Happy Holidays to all! Though I’m posting a gain, I’m celebrating the lowest gain I’ve had in years. That’s a win in my book. I tracked everything and ate most of my favorites in moderation. This is my future. I didn’t hit my mini goal of 275 in December YET. But I’m not giving…

  • HW: 309 SW: 301 (late Oct.) Dec 2: 285 Dec 15: 281.4 Hoping to get to 275 this month to meet that first mini goal! Oddly, I have a colonoscopy this week, soooo, that should help  = False weight loss reading! I'm happy to have hit the 20# loss mark, but don't see or feel a noticeable change yet. Something to look…
  • Impressive! What has your exercise regime been, from the beginning? How many calories did you begin with, in early stages? Congrats!
  • I'm with you. Started at 301 mid October. Now at 281. Obviously I have a significant amount remaining to lose and this is not easy. What I know is that I started with some simple things - started walking every day and counting calories. I stay under 1350 calories religiously, usually closer to 1250 or a bit less. I have…
  • Imagine yourself at your goal. What do you think will be different then? Are you thinking about physical, mental, emotional, or other kinds of differences from your life today? If I'm honest, with more than 100# to lose, I can't quite imagine myself there yet. That's far away and smaller goals feel more attainable and keep…
  • amynew4u Week: 2 PW: 285.8 CW: 281.4 Getting outside and moving has been challenging with the dropping temperatures! But it is about give and take - taking the stairs, parking further away, walking during conference calls, tracking everything I consume. A very small, but somehow impactful weekend game - all wrapping paper…
  • December 8 Exercised? Not INTENTIONAL. Lots of walking bc of parties, concerts, shopping. Calories? Yes Tracked. Yes NSV - went to an annual dessert party and STILL stayed under calories for the day.
  • December 7 Exercised?: Yes Calories?: Yes Tracked?: Yes

  • December 4 Exercise: yes Calories : yes Tracked : yes Anyone have recommendations for YouTube strength training? Looking for those I can do at home with hand weights and bands - thx!
  • WELL DONE! INCREDIBLE! I will watch your progress so closely, as I am on a very similar path. Started at 301 in October and am at 284 right now. You are doing it right. Tell us more about how you are doing it, what your caloric intake is, workout schedule is, etc. For those of us that are new? If you are comfortable…
  • Sometimes the monotony of walking, elliptical, treadmill, bike etc. is the perfect way to get out of your own head. And, no expectations in terms of how you look! You are not alone!
  • December 1, 2, 3 Exercise: Yes Calories: Yes Tracked: Yes I'm walking for a minimum of 35 minute every day. For the first three, it has been after 8:30 pm. It's not easy, after the temperatures drop, but I never regret it! I'm adding in small intervals - slight inclines and 30 seconds of jogging, here and there. Every…
