I seem to have lost my hives since I stopped my supplements. Thanks for all your help.

It's pretty overwhelming to think about all I have to look at. I'm getting hives thinking about it :/ :# Why did I do this post :'( :D
-
That's interesting, but no breathing issues. I never get them when I am moving around, I never thought of that until now :*

That really depends on what sort of testing I can afford. I have insurance but I have to find out if it covers. Also, can they specifically test for gluten intolerance? And what if it's something they've used to make my supplements. I don't have a clue what all can actually be tested for at a doctor's office. Like I…

I've been using Dr. Bonner's soap for awhile now. I also use Borax, and a real, basic detergent. What interested me most about your reply was the supplement ingredients. I have recently switched brands of my Magnesium. I'm going to look into that for sure because I already notice a difference (negative) after taking the…

Ok, man, last time I had that done they said they never saw anyone that was allergic to so many things. But it was all environmental. This was years ago, long before any hives. I may need to do it again though. Maybe they've learned some things since then;)
-
I know that's true, gluten being in many things. Also MSG under other names. I haven't been as vigilant as I should be when grocery shopping(reading all labels). If I want to figure this out, I'm going to have to be though. Another thing I pray that it's not, is a nut allergy. I figured milk and other dairy wasn't good…

This photo is the only one on a google search that shows what mine look like, but the pic is about 10 x worse than mine are. They never get that far for me. But the welts only show up like that from me scratching which I stop them at the first sign dabbing a bit of alcohol. It stops them but I'm not about to be doing that…

I'm not alarmed, it isn't bedbugs. That thought has long since been eliminated. I don't primarily get them at night, more so in a.m. and the rest of the day. Also at night when sitting watching a show, or playing on here.

No kidding?? I've got to try and break away from the bread. I bet I'd know within a week or so, of any difference! Thanks for sharing that info.

I think this has probably helped me too, adding good oils like Olive and coconut for just two. I don't have any hunger pains between meals any more at all.
-
That would be my first question since I learned here on MFP a few years back, that dehydration can disguise itself as hunger. That's not a quote, but it worked for me and I started drinking my water for the day. Also, what makes me feel those hunger pains depends on "what" foods I'm eating. I don't know what it is in pizza…

Geez Ann, that was a good read (I just did the first link so far). I've never gotten interested in weight-training and it's "possible" calorie burn in that past. I admit I saw someone else listing numbers (yes, I can get obsessed with those numbers) so I wanted to try it out. It was hard to take finding out that the Earth…

Sorry I did a post but I'm doing voice to text on my Android so it didn't show up but anyway I wanted did thank you North Cascades because I figured it was a matter of settings I mean for the cost of the watches they must do a lot and it's a matter of you know study in the manual and playing around with the thing to figure…
-
Yeah it's really just a matter of preference. I am going to check out the garmin's I seem to remember that they are pretty high-priced maybe I won't want to go that far who knows I reserve the right to change my mind and say the heck with calories burned when lifting
-
I don't wear the Polar (yes, hrm) for lifting, that's why I was looking at the watches. I just happened to read a post that was about one person using one (an Apple Watch) for lifting:)
-
Oh, I see now there's a quote. I've had a migraine all morning and brain is foggy, very foggy:(
-
I appreciate both replies, and to be honest, I like gadgets, and if there's one for lifting then I want it. Sounds like the Garmin is the one I need to get if I insist on having something for lifting. Also I can see I need to do more "homework" on all one of these watches will do. Thanks again to both of you. I don't know…

I'm new to the Premium, really have been blessed by the use of MFP, even though I have come and gone a few times since 2009, it wasn't because I didn't like MFP. I just chose to be a slug in private, lol. But I am not sure there are enough of what I am interested in, in the Premium package. I'm like the fellow that…

Hi Lindz, I'll send you a friend request. I just started back about 2 days ago, I'm older, 66, but I like reading and posting. Like you say, communicating:) Mostly I like having fun, work hard yes, but make time for yacking with other fitness/nutrition minded folks;)
-
woa, shoulda trimmed that down a bit, along with some other stuff :D
-
Hi all, and thanks so much for the welcomes!! I've been here a few times myself since 2009 I think I first joined. But I just haven't been consistent. I think it's today that counts most, and we're all here working at it;)
-
Ok, that's 2 votes for the shoestring site! I do have it bookmarked. I do want to save as much as I can, and I am counting pennies, lol! I am saving so I can take a trip, hopefully with some other gals that want to do the same. My budget will only take me to place, most likely, in the Western States, but who knows. I can…

Hi Leon, I saw your intro when I came here to make one for myself. I think Austin must be a great place, and wanted to say hello. I am 66 and very active, but I figure if I am going to meet some other people that are doing the same, this will be the best place to start. I want to add I am not trying to rob the cradle,…

I will try this since I can't spend a lot right now on a DIY recipe. Thank you for the recommend, and I've always love Bisquick, so I'd be comfy trying it's GF version:) Thank you much!

Thanks for the info and links! I was also thinking that maybe learning to knead with my hands would help strengthen them:) I use dumbells at home for lots of different exercises, but it's really starting to make a great difference in my hands as well. I hurt them some years ago from repetitive work. One reason I was…

I was confused writing this today, I see now, and thank you for your input. I was reading the draxe recipe and he said to put it in a blender, but this wasn't a "recipe" that needed the kneading, LOL!! I realize now that a blender would not be built for kneading, but really glad you straightened that out for me;) I'm going…
-
Hey gals, if any of you are still around this thread, I want to find out if any of you use a bread-machine, or possibly, a tough blender that would work for a recipe that called for kneading?
-
I really do appreciate all the input I got here. I was never diagnose with Celiac, don't think I have it, but I do have some issues that are improving with nutrition changes, eating earlier in the day, and really cut back on dairy too. Now for the "wheat" test. I so love being my own guinea pig, LOL!! NOT! ;) I'll put the…

I know it's going to be hard for sure, but I thought maybe I could get lucky and end up liking something gluten free. Hope so if that is my issue. I have eliminated a lot of things, but so far, not a firm answer for myself of what is causing some things. Thanks so much!
