  • I always eat the skins, even of kiwi. I can't eat banana skin though. Watermelon is ok but a bit tough. All potatoes are fine though. I particularly love a crunchy baked potato! It's the best part!
  • Go to food > recipes and make your own (it will stay private). You can add the ingredients within it that are already on the database. This is the best method I have.
  • This is why I love CICO (calories in, calories out - just tracking numbers). Today I had a hot chocolate. A few days ago I had creme eggs. If the craving persists for a few hours then I know it's genuine and will have a small sweet snack. I feel better immediately and they don't lead to binges as they did previously.…
  • When they say you are what you eat I think you're maybe taking it a bit too literally. The fat you eat wont immediately sit on your body. Not to mention that excess weight isn't created JUST from fats its more complex than that. You can even eat mcdees and not worry about putting on fat - as mentioned before that'll only…
  • I meal prep. You can still cook dinner for everyone else but at least your dinner for that evening is already made and just needs heating up/adjusting so you can avoid having to cook double in one night.
  • It gives me really bad stomach aches but when I'm really craving that bubbly I'll usually go for a can of full fat coke. One isn't gonna hurt. In fact, I used to eat 3x the amount of calories in "health coleslaw". Put that way, I wasn't so afraid of having the one can. I like cans because you can regulate better. I'd…
  • When I reduced carbs (not cut out) and reduced sugar (also not cut out), introduced better nutrition (a daily salad and fish x2 a week), hydrated very well, exercised daily and slept regularly... my cravings disappeared. I didn't fix each thing all in one go. First started with hydration, then better nutrition, then…
  • It's crazy to think of it as abuse isn't it? For a long time I was just treating myself... but it WAS abuse and at 29 I was beginning to show it, too! happy bday keep at it!
  • When I make a big dinner and it's earlier on in the evening I usually put half away immediately. Depending how I feel I'll eat it later or the next day (usually next day). My "salad sundae" barely hits 300g once chopped and prepped. Kudos to you for being able to eat that much cabbage. I can just about manage a cup of…
  • Thank you for the link! I can't fast at all - I'd die. I basically just eat when I'm hungry. I hate cooking and am perfectly happy just eating cold stuff. I do hit around the 1k mark without any effort but was just worried with me working out - even though I feel ok for now - if it's not good. I mean it can't be? I'm still…
  • I like the idea about adding nuts... and seeds too maybe. I never thought abuot that.
  • I add 50g of cheese to my salad. And a tbsp of caesar dressing haha. It's the only way I can even stomach it. Maybe I'm not eating ENOUGH salad then oO. Two eggs wtih bfast enough to cover a slice of toast - I poach or boil my eggs. 2 eggs, 10g butter and a slice of granary is what i love for bfast. ty for the thuoght…
  • I do use a food scale and a measuring jug (for liquids). I am very strict about that! My recipes are all measured carefully. Just so that's cleared ^>^ I only use the jug once I've measured everything to separate into portions and re-weigh the cups after. I do it in advance so I don't have to think about it for a few days.
  • Thanks for the links and info - I thought my diary was open. I'm eating eggs on toast for bfast, instead of one lunch am just snacking on chicken etc. Dinner is salad with protein (and usually broccoli). Not like a lettuce diet at all >.<My volume isn't high, My salad chopped together fills a 500ml jug (it's how I portion…
  • tut tut owner really should have those vices sorted before allowing off leash. My big alsatian would lunge at cyclists when I got her but making her sit by my side for every passerby and even cat that came into view. I really wouldn't have liked to have to have her put down because of MY negligence. Hope you heal ok!
  • I just weigh it raw. Like another poster mentioned the lost weight is in water mostly so whatever really. Are there any foods in mind that you're concerned about? edit: another example of adding weight is pasta. I mean you're just adding water right? No need to weigh after cooking when the content label is for uncooked.
  • Yes 100%. I personally can't stand loose clothing so feel I have no choice hah but I will only buy cheapies until I lose more. Glad you had a good time xD
  • Oof you look fantastic! You look like you're OWNING it too :)
  • I read your whole story. My goodness. Looking at your pictures I can't believe how you guys have gone backwards in age. You made me realise that the active ppl I'm jealous of might just be people like me.. you.. us. That struggled to get there. It gives me hope I can be the same one day. Thank so much for sharing!
  • Omg haha my cats are gonna be DEVASTATED! I didn't even think about that!
  • My god this is amazing. I'm so glad you're still with us and celebrating your health in your newfound body! Live well :)
  • Walking dogs a certain route without needing to stop and bend over to relieve the pressure on my spine. My core support was THAT bad! I remember finally getting to the door one night and realising - hey, my back doesn't hurt at all!
  • Actually understanding what it means by "change has to come from within". No matter the external support I got I didn't care. No matter the success stories I saw or the diaries I kept, nothing and no health scare was big or scary enough to make me say no to junk food. I had to make the decision to change and it wasn't easy…
  • The first time I walked after being sedentary for 6 months I walked 1/4 of a mile with my dogs (who had dog walkers no fear!). I had to stop often because my spine was KILLING me. I couldn't even support myself STANDING UP! A few weeks later I could walk without any back pain but I was so ashamed as well. Not even 1/4 of a…
  • Really double check your form. When running I was overextending. I actually have a short stride and can't go that fast. When I finally ran within my limitations I no longer go foot or ankle pain and managed to avoid shin splints. OH BOY THEY SUCK DON'T THEY?! And yes, proper running shoes. I actually can't go back to…
  • Not really though I've seen people with amazing results. I personally cannot do the whole grazing thing every few hours or a hardcore fast. I just have either 2 big meals or 3 medium meals in a day with a hot drink here and there. I die without breakfast 100%. But I often skip lunch or dinner if I feel pretty sated that…
  • I never used to use a scale and when I did realised I was estimating way too low :< No wonder I was hungry...
  • That looks amazing. I cannot wait to have the funds to be able to properly explore!
  • You're probably deficient in something OR thirsty. Are you 100% drinking enough? I know it's a chore; there are times I have to stand at the sink and drink glasses of water just to make sure. Feel like a child haha!. You probably already know about diet when pregnant but double check to make sure not missing anything :) gl…
