Brunch! Happy Thanksgiving eve! 🍁 Since we are likely eating poultry the next few days. I did salad and fish. 🍴 Mixed greens & 🌿 herbs, sardines, grape tomatoes, beets, yellow and orange bell pepper, Evoo and balsamic. 🥬 🫖 Açaí/greens/flax/blueberry juice with turmeric ginger shooter.

When I’ve been cutting body weight in the past .. I did eat less than 1500 cals .. and I am a smaller boned, tall person. I have never been malnourished or considered unhealthy by my doctors or my peers.

My fav is a mix of EVOO & Guiseppe Giusti balsamic vinegar .. I add in some herbs de provence and sea salt. 😋 Once in awhile I’ll crave a Caesar salad I found a recipe which I like.. I only make enough for a serving. The minced anchovies and hit of Dijon in it give it nice flavor.

Felt like soup … A mixture of greens .. molokhia, kale, broccoli 🥦.. mixed with homemade brodo, za’atar and saffron. 🥣

I would love this option. I voted for this years ago. As someone who is in the forums often, there are plenty of threads that just aren’t my thing, and won’t ever be my thing. Wish we could “swipe left” or ignore so it’s more user friendly.

I have more experience with pumpkins than squash.. so the orange pie pumpkin is great for roasting, mashed pumpkin, anything calling for purée and both savory and sweet dishes! You can also roast the seeds. I am cooking a pumpkin/coconut cake! Photo attached .. disregard my ashy oven. :)

Lunch: chia/cassava tortillas with smoked salmon, onion, avocado, evoo and herbs de provence I was looking for something sweet .. all I had were some frozen blueberries and açaí ..so I made a berry-açaí smoothie with some Ceylon cinnamon, vanilla flax milk and some greens. it did the trick. 😉

Literally 💯 % of the restaurants I frequent do not have calories listed and I’ve had to be a diary detective to list things as accurately as possible. We dine out a few times a week so .. @kshama2001 — thought about ya! I just got an email a few days ago.. NYC area now has 9.95$ delivery charge regardless of being a prime member. So .. we order groceries a LOT.. this would end up being $40+ just in the charges per month not including tip… so guess I’m going to have to tame this expense a bit. Bummer.

👋 @Evamutt - sometimes I steam the chard with herbs. I’ve also sautéed in a few tablespoons of vegetable broth with minimum olive oil and it worked well.

This could be unpopular .. but I’ve spent time all over China .. and the food tasted exactly like what I get in NYC. 🤷🏼♀️ (Didn’t go to touristy joints either … ) I was expecting more of a difference based on many saying how different the Chinese food was in China. (Or we could have some great places here in Chinatown.)

Sunday family lunch : 🍴 broiled Bluefish with assorted microgreens and edible flowers. Sautéed liver medallions with red onion and tomatoes. Harissa on the side. :)

👩🏼🍳 Breakfast scramble Fresh Italian sausage .. just made at the butcher this morn. Added in eggs, herbs, diced eggplant, squash, bell peppers, zucchini. Spinach, garlic, fresh oregano 🌿 & rosemary.
