I buy my wife every gadget/cooker she wants, but we still love the ole crockpot best!

I've seen this here and on other forums of various types, the OP didn't ask anyone to critique or advice based on your research or opinions, she was looking for like minded people to join her and share, GO BACK AND READ THE FIRST POST, too many wannabee nutritionist imposing their views. I'm an intermittent faster, on a…

wife has had 2 up since sometime in October along with 300+ nutcrackers everywhere.

Apple cider vinegar-2tbsp = 6-10 calories, add whatever fruit you were already incorporating in your salad, berries etc, blend, pour on salad, add some cracked pepper if you like or other spices, literally, not adding calories to your healthy salad, basically, make your own flavored vinaigrette's. You said you like creamy…

no cal water foods, sliced bell peppers, greens, celery, carrots pickles are my go to, or hot peppers

Same here, I don't add an extra bullet after beating Russian roulette lol

Sorry guys, wrong type of cheese and amount and calorie count per, pain in the *kitten* using their food picker. 1/4 cup was 96 calories, I need to be able to enter the exact calorie/protein etc on my packages per servings, but haven't figured it out yet. So sometimes my numbers are blown out, or I mis-typed, but I watch…

I thought about this myself as I don't want to be buying flavored packets for my water just to spice things up...but, I was also thinking about going one step further, and buy ginger root liquid extract to see if I could add that to the seltzer, almost like a calorie free ginger-ale without all the pop chemical additives.

same here, I even went up 2 lbs one day then down 3 the following. Between that and water retention, don't sweat it. I weigh in each day but look at my weekly to determine my results.

Water keeps you fuller, less likely to snack, but, carry a small bag of peanuts in your pocket for a snack, protein plus healthy fat. Or nuts of choice if peanuts aren't your thing or allergy.

Today, 400 calories worth of pizza

It's 6g of protein or 24 out of 70 calories. Lots of better choices if you want low calorie protein sources.
Yay, someone who agrees, and my thoughts exactly...and I still think it looks like a turd! I have to say I'm biased as well, I make my own home-made jerky, so I've become a jerky snob and won't buy packaged…

You don't have to give it up entirely, most breads are somewhere between 70-120 calories per normal slice for size comparison, I have the same weakness, so I make my own so I know what goes into it, get a bread maker to make the task easier. I also make a lot of veggie breads, zucchini, carrot, butternut squash, pumpkin,…

Sounds good, for me I have to avoid deli meats due to the high sodium contents of most lunch meats, have venous edema and have to monitor sodium intake to prevent leg swelling, but I substitute sausage sometimes for fresh cooked ground beef, shredded steak, lean chicken, fresh turkey, pork.

12" springform pan deep deep cheesecake...none for me though :(

more so for my health issues than an actual advocate, and there are always both sides arguing one way or the opposite no matter the topic on the internet, best to let our own Dr's advise I guess

Just came across this thread, 58 here, 310#'s, goal is 225# and go from there.

and...most natural foods have enough natural salt in them

It would take a whole new thread to go into healthy vs harmful preservatives found in processed foods, just because the FDA approves something, doesn't make it healthy. You'll have to weed throughout the millions of web articles, find some scholarly sites for decent info on additives, many of the chemicals are harmful and…

Nor should we listen to someone quoting an internet blog...I read the article, it was inconclusive. Yes, listen to your doctor, but today's foods are so over saturated with some form of sodium or salt derivative preservative, its pretty dang hard to not get enough. And I haven't heard of any epidemic of people keeling over…

agree, was only stating "crap" about processed foods in general as a lot of them have many added chemicals in the use of preserving shelf life, I understand the needs of sodium, but also my limitations, which are obviously not the same as everyone else. B)

derail away, I usually end up derailing my own threads, I can appreciate most points of view. I researched the fasting phenomenon and even consulted my own physician first, with all studies, some say good, some say bad, wasn't all that long ago we as a race thought smoking was good for you, or cocaine in soda lol.
I order my groceries online, and do curbside pick-up so I don't even see them (or the chips, or the ice cream, or the....)!
hahaha, I like testing myself, I don't have too many extreme food cravings, maybe Clark Bars (old school) otherwise I can walk the junk food isles with no problems, my weight issue…

p.s. I run not walk past Reese's in stores lol.
