Not posted for a while. Smashed X3 including the elite block and end fitness test. I'm now on P90X original and love it!!
-
2nd week complete for P90X3, other than Dynamix tomorrow, post 12 mile run. I had some fun on the rings today, found a pull up bar by the sea and so did the ring work looking out across the water
-
P90X3 Agilty X done and I can jump fairly far across two rolls of tape 😀
-
Loving it, really feeling it as well - T25 was good but I never had DOMs like I do with this. I'm also using the gymnastics rings twice a week, running 2 to 3 times and doing a beginners flexibility workout. So far so good. How are you getting on?
-
This morning will be P90x3 the Warrior which is week 1 complete other than the optional Dynamix 😀
-
P90X3 The Challenge - wow my back and chest are in bits and I love it
-
P90X3 Yoga done. Intense but obviously very different to the T25 intensity I'm used to, what are peoples thoughts on calorie intake doing P90X3, I'm trying to maintain and recomp.
-
Started P90X3, great fun! Mon Total Synergistics and a 4 mile run, Tuesday Agility X and later on the gymnastics rings will come out to play 😀
-
Someone else ready it. Shall I just add you as a friend then you can delete me after? I'll not hassle you, promise ;)

Hi @PAV8888 I'm not sure if you received my IM? I weighed in today as part of a build up to my next exercise plan and was back to 67.4kg, which shows how massive the fluctuations can be, considering yesterday I bust maintenance cals by 500+..

P90X3 fit test in the morning 😁

Hi @AnnPT77, thanks for the reply. I honestly don't fear calories, I don't overly stress about it either, I'm just interested in experiences of others in their journies. In the recent past I didn't track anything, I'd always say a diet is what you eat, not something you go on. When running loads I was never really…

All questions I was asking on the recomp thread, where I was unsure if I could recomp as well as someone who had more fat mass to lose. When you say 'aggressive 4 week weight loss plan' are you referring to the 4 week running challenge? This was a work challenge for charity, so I agreed to take part due to my history of…

I'd not say I've deviated, a Nakd bar is plant-based and wholefood, beer, well yes is a slight deviation I'll give you that but 2 small ones in 14 weeks is fairly okay. I think it's volume. I lost 20lb in that 4 weeks to get back to my marathon race pace and now the fluctuations are small as part of an attempted recomp,…

I'm also doing some bodyweight work on the gymnastics rings, so hopefully the combination will work well. It's interesting to see peoples take on it, I agree that totally falling off is neglecting goals for a long period of time, just sometimes I'll eat something that is not bad really, but then go over maintenance cals.

So tomorrow T25 Gamma Hybrid comes to a close and it's on to P90X3, which will be an interesting 90 days of work!
-
Hi @PAV8888 I've been tracking for 14 weeks now, here are the results. Interesting the last few weeks, I started running for a challenge with work, which has ended now but I was doing average 40 miles per week, so increased my calories in based on @heybales Just TDEE spreadsheet. Here is the latest info;
-
T25 Gamma Speed 3.0
-
Interested to know what it would be like compared to T25

Have you considered the Recommended Routine via Reddit? All you need is a place to do bodyweight rows, pull ups, push ups etc and just progress. Where are you? You could buy some gymnastics rings and then you just need a tree branch to throw them over, you've then got instant rows, pull ups, press ups, dips, static holds,…

End of T25 Gamma tomorrow, our first run through finishing with Extreme Circuit. The last 2 weeks I've been doing a running challenge with work, so 42 miles last week and up to 22 so far this week. Once clear of the challenge I think it will be time for P90X3. In the meantime I might try 2 weeks of the Hybrid Gamma…

Sounds good, looking at the YouTube video it seems to suggest every day but I'm not sure I could do pull ups every day. Might be a see how it goes thing.
-
You could screw them in above a doorway maybe? Just something to anchor the straps to? They would be more versatile than a bar and can be taken to the park when lock down eases as well. You can do pull ups, chin ups, rows, push ups, tucks and L sits, roll outs, static holds etc. Even muscle ups and ring handstands!
-
Adjustables? Could you buy rings in the UK and ship to you? I had a thought, you could get some anchor bolts and screw them through your ceiling into the joists, then attach the ring straps to them? Instant pull ups, rows etc.
-
Not added here yet - T25 Extreme Circuit done
-
Where are you based? I just bought a Gravity fitness pull up station thing, it goes up in minutes and packs away in a bag. Maybe you can find similar? Or you can use a sturdy table for rows to build strength for pull ups?
-
@PAV8888 here is the data after today's weigh in, I'll now leave it ticking along for a few weeks logging as I go. I updated each formula to reflect the weeks as they are shown up top.

I have been a marathon runner but since running under 3 hours I've decided I'd like to add a bit of muscle, rather than being so skinny. I gained a bit of fat after my daughter was born and I slowed on the running, I've lost that now so I think I may need to go for a slight surplus and see where it goes.
-
Sounds good, I think the important thing will be a pull up bar or anchor for a resistance band to do the pull downs. Some of the single weight exercise could be done with a kettlebell which might be cheaper than buying adjustable dumbbells?
-
I'm trying to build strength for my next phase, for the past 10-15 years or so I've been a marathon runner, but I'd like to get into calisthenics and try something new. As I have BB, I was thinking something like P90X3 next, as T25 is quick HIIT focused - I don't have extensive weights, so dumbbells, kettles and a pull up…
