I've tried it a few times - it tasted kind of yucky and the texture wasn't the best. I have, however added protein powder in my 0% greek yogurt with a little almond milk which was pretty good (like a pudding). I've also added protein powder in oatmeal waffles and those were great.

Nice. I decided to go with a Fitbit Charge 4 as a good introductory tracker and my first. How accurate do you feel it tracks your steps? I've noticed I am walking and my steps "get stuck" and don't update right away. I'll be sure to take my step and calorie tracking with a grain of salt.

Thank you everyone for sharing your detailed experiences. Very helpful!

Thank you for this great information. So funny your tracker thinks your in REM when you're not. Pictured this in my head and laughed a little as well. Thanks again!

Those are some intriguing things to consider. I would be interested in tracking my sleep as well. Glad you like it and thank you for sharing your experience!

-calorie deficit -meal prep and track your calories -set small goals -make sure you are eating enough to avoid binging and sabotaging your weight loss success -focus on overall health rather than the number on the scale. -exercise -be consistent (it’s okay to indulge sometimes but continue to stay on track) -and again, set…

I find it easier to eat healthier at home because I am in control. I have a kitchen to prep food and I can change my meal decisions because I am at home. When I’m not at home, I can’t 100% track my food accurately (more room for error) etc. Prepping my meals for the day the night before or logging in my food diary on the…

Well, I estimate when I make big batches of food which happens a lot with at home cooking. Of course I use the app recipe feature and scale. I often times dab a lot of excess oil regardless. I always estimate and assume I’m eating a little more oil than I’m tracking because since I’m in a calorie deficit I give myself a…

Don’t have great advice to give but just want to say great job at trying your best! I know it can be frustrating to get easily winded and tired but guess what, you’re trying to get healthier so it can only get better 😊 Hope you find something that works out for your desired goals.

Yes I count fruit and vegetables. The only vegetable I don’t count is spinach because I don’t eat so much spinach that it would impact my calories drastically. (Personal preference) Although fruits and veggies are usually high-volume, low-calorie foods, they def contain calories that add up. I also count olive oil and…

I have done intermittent fasting for years. It worked for me and my schedule. I used to think it helped “burn fat” faster but after personal input from well-informed people and after verifying through my own personal research, I learned it works because you are more inclined to eat less therefore go into a calorie deficit…

I meal prep the night before all my meals when I work am the next morning. Sometimes I start meal prep at 10 pm once my toddler falls asleep. Is it tiring? Very, but very necessary so that I don’t eat something that doesn’t fit into my desired calorie intake. Also saves a few bucks. Just take your lunch bag to work so you…

Just discovered Dannon Light and Fit Greek Yogurt (banana cream is my favorite flavor) -80 cal -9g carbs -0g fat -7g sugar

Whenever I need to boost up my protein for the day, I can count on lean meats such as chicken breast or turkey (7% fat or 1% fat) I also eat egg whites mixed with one egg, low-fat cottage cheese, 0% unsweetened Greek yogurt mixed with protein powder so it's kind of like a high-protein "pudding". @AshHeartsJesus stated she…

You can do so much with dumbbells. I learn a lot on youtube and I research different exercises and their proper form. There is so much to learn but you can definitely do a lot with dumbbells so maybe give that a try? Also, my dumbbells are outside and sometimes it's too cold for me to go out so I get large water gallons or…

I think it’s important to think long-term. Is this something you can do long-term? Will you be happy or miserable always depriving yourself? Some people can do fine without sweets and don’t crave much of it. That’s awesome but if you do enjoy sweets, why not treat yourself every now and then? As stated previously, life is…

I watched a video where he states tracking macros is not necessary as long as you are not deficient in any . That was shocking to hear, especially coming from someone with so much lean muscle but I was secretly pleased to hear that since trying to calculate and meet daily macros can be so time consuming even with an app.…

@pancakerunner love protein chips. I also make healthy nachos with the taco flavored ones.

@ninerbuff awesome, thanks!

I remember this and can relate. Every day was a new beginning of eating healthy. It could only be all or nothing, black or white, eating healthy or completely binging and overeating. There was no in between. I just want to tell you you are not alone and many people can relate. If I could change things, I would probably see…

@GiddyupTim I can relate to your stories so much although I only have one. Seems like you were an amazing father and husband just human and exhausted like most parents. Kudos to you for making that run back home after a long day! Very inspiring.

Agreed!

Hmm well idk. Something similar I’ve been lifting more and increased my protein intake so much due to tracking my macros which I didn’t do before. I also noticed my clothes fitting a little tighter just a bit. I feel very bloated. I wonder if it’s the increase of whey protein causing bloating. I’m sure it’s discouraging.…

@AnnPT77 Hey there. Correct, more calories less weight loss which makes me wonder if I was eating less than 1400 calories before without knowing since I wasn’t tracking calories at all besides just making healthier choices. Other factors to consider: -I increased my protein immensely after starting to track leaving me…

Yum! I stuff my dates with cashew butter and 2 chocolate chips. Sea salt sounds good, I’ll add that next time
