losing bodyfat doesn't make you 'fit' though?
-
do you weigh your food?
-
you say you don't want the advice of 'keep logging and measuring' but that is literally the best advice there is.... For me the car analogy you use is making eating work food into a bigger deal than it needs to be. you obviously know what's an appropriate amount and type of food to eat to fit your calories, as you do it at…

is losing 5lbs really going to make a difference to your night out?
-
because weight loss isn't linear. As you said yourself, you think the scales went up because of DOMS, and you're spot on. when your muscles are sore they retain water for repair, so you'll weigh more.
-
are you weighing everything you eat with scales? If you have gone from 235 to 230/232 then you have lost weight maybe you have unrealistic expectations of how much you can lose, but 1-2lbs a week is a healthy amount.

is this the sharting thread... oh my days... i have a meeting in 6 minutes so a daren't click on it, but I will be back....
-
maybe you could start a MH group on here, if you think they're all rubbish?
-
you dropped 6kg in the first 3 weeks, that's why... ETA, starvation mode isn't really a thing, so don't worry about that. Just make sure that your calorie goal and rate of loss is appropriate.

Unfortunately a LOT of people still subscribe to the 'I have to eat rabbit food to lose weight' style of dieting where eating as little as possible is a good thing. I have found that engaging with people and talking about the dangers of very low calorie goals helps sometimes... it's been 50/50 whether people want to learn…

Let your ankle heal, stick to upper body, static bike when your doctor allows it.

time for a diet break?
-
How long haven't you lost weight for?
-
If you liked 30DS, then Insanity or P90X3 might be your sort of thing?
-
I would try tweaking your macros, a little more fat might help.
-
eat some more carbs, set your calorie goal to a more appropriate number.
-
if you have been losing as expected, then your TDEE is what your watch says. you should definitely expect much slower weight loss from now on. aim for 2700, your body will thank you for it. You also might want to look at a diet break before you try and lose the last few pounds, given the large deficit you have had for the…

I dont blame you for being worried. How long has it been going on? Eating too little and bingeing are signs of disordered eating. If it was my husband/best friend I would be trying my best to get him to talk it through and make a doctors appointment.
-
given your stats, that's a really fast rate of loss, which is why you're feeling it now... its just not sustainable.
-
have you recalculated your calorie goal since losing the first 30lbs?
-
No, that isn't right. MFP's activity level doesn't include intentional exercise. So you set it to your activity based just on work/home life, and then sync your Garmin to get additional exercise cals, or add them manually when you work out. You can do as you have done, however, set your activity to include exercise, but…

Yeah I thought they stopped after a load of stories about contestants being given appetite suppressants and stuff came out?
-
100% this. I don't think I've ever taken enough notice of my surroundings to try and make eye contact with anyone who might be looking at me.
-
for walking maybe, but not for running. OP is male so 100 cals a mile isn't unheard of. I am a reasonably small female and I get 84 cals a mile running.
-
I wear sketchers for walking. Try an outlet if you don't want to pay full price, as they can be quite expensive. Worth it though IMO.
-
do you normally cook? if so then I would keep making whatever you normally make and just tell him to portion it accordingly... maybe add in an extra choice of veg for him? have a conversation before you don the weekly food shop and ask if there's anything he specifically does or doesn't want... As you say, he's a grown up,…

I wear sketchers for walking, love them!

if those things aren't motivating you, then I'd just buy some shapewear and not stress the next few weeks.
