That pic cheered me right up! Thanks terrordawg! So cute. <3

Fixed (edited) post. Didn't know I could.

Mel, I've been feeling like I needed a "Mel Fix" for several days. Thank you. You look stunning. <3

Some of you folks have really negative attitudes about people. I prefer glass have full. I won't check back on this thread, so don't respond to me. You have issues.
-
Not really at all. No going with them anywhere, no activities involved. You meet in a restaurant, have a meal, and separate. Doesn't meet your statement at all.

Hm, the base can be lifted and locked in place for moving it. Weighs about 40 pounds to lift the end of it. Would work pretty well for doing curls! ;)

Last time I dated this was still the societal norm. The woman was definitely not taking advantage of the man, it's just the way it was. Good thing I'm not dating, now. Faux pas city!
-
Except I created a "Treadmill" exercise based on my program so I could easily enter that. :D
-
Hi Lyndsey! Good luck with your goals, whatever they may be. :)

Freezer section, not eggs/dairy room. Wasn't paying enough attention to be more precise, sorry.

I weigh every day on a "doctor's" type upright balance beam scale. Not so much for the information, though I do track it here, but I need the consistency or I'll forget to weigh. I really like being retired and able to forget what day of the week it is. :D So far I've known ahead of time if the weight is going to…

I get Crepini brand at Costco. Just discovered them here on MFP and decided I had to try them. :) Great for Turkey sandwiches (rollups), but pretty fragile. They tear easily. Worth it, though, they're good.

Anything I can't do for 1/2 hour. :D

Okay, now I've gotta ask... are we talking recumbent bicycle, or recumbent exercycle? (I use Schwinn 270 exercycle, but do not recommend for her height)
-
Not your height and do not have a specific recommendation. Just want to agree about lasting longer on a recumbent. My wife can't balance so we both ride recumbent trikes now (nine years). I had a RANS Stratus before that. Comfort made a big difference for us in terms of how long we could ride.
-
These look perfect for cycling. DeWalt radio Get them and let us know how well they work. B)
-
Unless you want others to join you. I don't know how to have group calls on my cellphone. Searching for "FRS radio" on Amazon shows plenty with earpieces, from $30 to $60 (approx). I think it is a great idea for group rides! :)

I just wanted the carbs/fats/protein ratio to look better. So made eggs, cottage cheese and greek yogurt a bigger part of my diet. Then I found out how high in sodium regular cottage cheese is (Knudsen = 410mg per serving). Not that I'm on a sodium restricted diet, but I'm going to try "no salt added" cottage cheese (some…

You're doing great! Hang in there, it will happen! :)

I try to eat back the exercise calories, as MFP recommends. But I'm in such bad shape any exercise burns lots of calories. I'm not sure how good MFP really is at determining calories burned in exercise. I'm losing, though, so eating back exercise calories works, for me, at this stage. :)

I agree with GummiMundi. I started C25K yesterday. I don't know if there is more than one C25K program, but it is quite unrealistic for overweight couch potatoes. Couch to walk then to 5K would be more realistic. And as some seem to experience, it would be medically safer, too.

I've never seen a pi plate before. Cute. :) And delicious looking!

I really don't think many here really understand (as in empathize). I was 'fit' in my 30s-40's. I was ALWAYS hungry. For 25 years I've been stable at 60-70 lbs overweight and rarely hungry. I'm at 1 lb a week, sedentary, for 1850 calories. Hardly a low number. Once again I am constantly hungry. For me, it is learning to…

You can create a new exercise (on My Exercises page). It will say minutes, but you will know it is steps because you can name the exercise that. :)

You may not believe this, but I'm a Christmas baby! B) That was, however, a loong time ago...

3 days and you aren't considering going back to work yet due to boredom? Great news, trekkie123! Glad you are enjoying your new status. :)
-
katylockett, I'm impressed with your discipline, hitting that 'play' button even when it is hard. Your thread is very encouraging, thank you.

Looks like you had a great January, r_jen. Congrats. :)
-
I just started losing this year and so far so good. But my mini goal is being able (for the first time in years) to tighten my belt to the next notch. So far no progress there, but it shouldn't be toooo long. ;)

I've been very overweight for many years and couldn't convince myself to start. With everything shutdown from Covid, I realized I had a chance to think really long term. I don't expect to reach my primary goal for over a year and a quarter. But what else do I have to do? So I started Jan 3 and am down 4 pounds. You can do…
