Yes typically the defaults are fine unless you have special needs like diabetes or other that would make you want to modify the norms....... I am Type 1 diabetic so I trim my carbs 5%, up my protein 5%, try my best to eliminate sugars altogether, and try to keep a lot of fiber in my diet.

I don't set myself up to have to cheat........ I set everything to lethargic with a goal of maintaining weight... I eat pretty much what I want within reason and with exercise I usually come in well below my "target" and still lose weight. I guess the moral of the story here is don't be too aggressive with your…

This depends a lot on how you are logging activity. The Garmin calorie adjustment is a reconciliation of the MFP estimate (based on your activity levels in your profile and BMR) and Garmin measured burn for the day. If you exercise without starting an "Activity" on your watch it sees the extra calories as "normal" calories…

Hi Christopher! Welcome............I am in much the same boat as you with the diabetes. Keep you eye on the small gains........As the pounds melt off so will alot of the other issues!
-
This would not be hard to implement.........Just give us a spot to enter the weight and volume of the finished recipe. Then we can log it anyway we need to.......

-
Well not knowing how active you were before.........ease into the exercise........I am pancreatic damage Type 1 and my insulin resistance and usage had to drop way off as I started heavier cardio. I am on needles still (pump is too aggravating with my activity levels) and my basal dose has tapered a bit but boluses have…

I second this one.......... I think you just by coincidence got into a robocall loop at the same time..... Just answer the phone "Hello Baby Owl"......they will usually hang up in a fit of rage! ROFL.....

Set small goals for yourself at first. Get a few wins under your belt and gradually set the bar higher!

Welcome sir and thank you for your service. I too am severely diabetic and utilize MFP for much the same. God speed with your endeavor!

Once in Excel you can make it look anyway you want!
-
Maesneuadd, My short answer is no..........at least I haven't found it...... The long answer is: If you are a little savy with Excel you can do it yourself......... Garmin connect spits out a nice report on the exercise side and MFP produces one for the caloric intake. Both can be exported to CSV files and opened in…

Jacki, tell him there is a trick for that......... Wear the HRM chest strap and start an exercise routine... I have one called "Charge". The HRM will log for you while the watch is on the cord! LOL David

Grampah Pete, personally I am hooked on the Garmin systems....... I am heavier into the navigation side of things with my boats but the health tracking aspects of the watches are pretty incredible. If you are a gadget guy at all check them out........alot of info if you are into it and it ties in well with Myfitnesspal! I…
