I’ve been out of control with unhealthy eating. And not exercising regularly. I had gotten i to great shape for my daughters wedding and since then have been goi g down the wrong path. Any help on getting gback on the healthy road? Talk is easy but doing is tough!

Make small sustainable changes, one at a time. What is one thing You can do consistently right now? Maybe it’s switching from regular soda to diet, or committing to one 15 minute walk every day. Start doing that. Once that choice is second nature, then make another small sustainable change. Rinse and repeat.0

Set small goals for yourself at first.

You changed just for an event and not for life. After the wedding, you just went back to eating the way you used to. How do you get back? YOU DECIDE TO. Unless you're absolutely willing and make it priority, no amount of advice will matter. I could give you all the programs in the world, but if you're really not willing to do them, it won't matter. So first make the decision and COMMITMENT to do it.

When we stop looking at our bodies as a project, we can lean into our lives. We don't need to drop it like it's hot, in order to have a good time. The dieting culture will never go away. Getting weight ready for events is stressful. When the pressure is off, it's easy to fall back into old patterns.
Our brains are like a memory mattress. Those old habits bounce right back into place. Clear the decks and start over with a sustainable plan.0 -

That’s one of the best explanations I’ve read on MFP.
Props, mountain person.
