I feel your frustration. I am in week 4 of Insanity and burn on average 400 calories per workout. I was disappointed as well with my calorie burn because I burn way more calories when I run. (I am a numbers person so I like to see higher numbers on my HRM). As the others have said, it is a full body workout so you aren't…

I finished day 3 of week 2 today. Here are my answers to your questions. 1. Does everyone use a heart rate monitor? I do use a Heart Rate Monitor, but only to push myself to be better than I was the previous time I did the workout (Although I find this to be a distraction sometimes) 2. Do you follow Shaun T's diet plan or…

Feel free to add me. My starting weight over 5 years ago is where you are at now. I'd like to help and encourage you on this journey.

I agree with jmcross. I would definitely begin by focusing on your diet. Make this a lifestyle change, start eating foods to fuel you though the day. Stay away from processed foods and sugars and eat more fresh vegetables, fruits and lean meats. This in turn will give you more energy and fuel you through your workouts.

Mine is very similar to yours. I have 3 children and I want to be able to watch them grow, get married, and have children of their own. I lost my father when I was 26 to a massive heart attack. I don't want to put my children through the pain I went through when I lost my Dad 2 years ago. And of course to just be fit,…

You could contact your OBGYN and ask for an HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin)test. They will draw blood and you will know in 4 to 8 hours if your HCG levels are high.

I eat a lot of Subway, which is one reason why my fiance and I decided to buy into the franchise. We are taking over the store starting in February!!!! You should stick to the sandwiches that are 6 grams of fat or less: Black Forest Ham, Oven Roasted Chicken Breast, Roast Beef, Subway Club, Sween Onion Chicken Teriyaki,…

That may be your problem, the old style bathroom scales are not accurate at all.

My Wii Fit scale is pretty close to my bathroom scale. Do you have a digital bathroom scale?

I am going to start the 30 Day Shred in January. I am just curious, did you lose more pounds or inches doing this program? I am 5'5 and currently weight 120lbs. I really need to tone up my thighs and butt. If you wouldn't mind posting your status I'm just curious.

On occasion I eat some of my exercise calories, however Ive been trying to stick to the 1200 calories. Yesterday I did some research on active.com and found that for an active person of my age/height/weight should be consuming 2330 calories to maintain. I did increase my calorie intake to almost 1500 yesterday. I will…

I too have always envied those running on the "bike path", so I started using the c25k program 4 weeks ago. I am not out of shape, but couldn't run for a long duration. I would suggest giving the program a try. If you complete week 1 and feel you are more advanced than that skip to week 3 and give that a try. Thus far I…
