I've been off and on MFP for over a year now. I only recently discovered IF on another weight loss forum. I am keeping up with a thread there but decided that since I keep track of my calorie intake here and there is no calculator or exercise database there, I might as well join a thread here and just stop refreshing so…

(I meant this to be a quote:blushing: ) When I first started MFP there was a selection available for sex. I had actually used it a few times (we were trying to make a baby). But that was back before there was a newsfeed. I will not use it now, not if it'a going to say, "So-and-so just burned 152 calories doing vigerous…

I've always called it "doing laundry." It can be further coded by describing the laundry. i.e. Handwash, delicates, dry clean only... Haha, you get the idea.

The difference is so obvious! Thank you for the inspiration. I am about to train for a 7.5 mile race in 7 weeks and I'm going from couch to active. I was thinking about doing the shred for the first time to help train. This is the boost I needed. You look great. Congrats on the inches lost.

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome). For those of you that don't know what this is or why it would cause a weight problem... the long and short of it is that it is both an endocrine and a reproductive disorder. It often causes insulin resistance and infertility. I could go on and on about all…

A pair of size 2 Lucky's jeans I bought over a year ago when I fit into them at 128lbs. A pair of size 2 Express dress slacks that I wore to my last job interview in January 2007. I will buy a pair of knee-high-black-pointy-toe stiletto boots. My calves are ALWAYS too big to fit into even the stretchy ones.:grumble:…

I will have a bonfire for all my "hide it" clothes including my Spanx. I will rejoice in the fact that my upper arms no longer resemble hams. I will be able to wear shorts and skirts again. I will put my wedding dress back on and look through my wedding album. I will take responsibility for my actions and so…

I love taco salad but when I want it I usually want it now. So I've devised a little low cal meatless version that I love more that the meat version now. Instead of browning burger and adding a taco seasoning packet I now open a can of kidney beans and drain them, put them in a reusable lidded container and sprinkle them…

Try canadian bacon or turkey bacon.

 This made me laugh:laugh: I've been with my husband for over 3 years and we've been married almost two... I knew he was my Mr. Right because he didn't make me question who I was. I totally agree with the "get a new one" idea if you are dating. Life's too short to waste your energy making a "boyfriend" into a…

WOW, is right. I was not very good this weekend and I feel like I undid all the good of last week. The math makes sense to me. 4 bag weekends a month aren't forgivable, I am trully responsible for my sloth and glutany and the math proves it. Thank you so much for posting this.:noway:

I am 100% convinced the the scales at gyms are rigged to read higher. I've never hated myself more than when I've weighed in at the gym. :grumble: If you leave the scale unhappy you're more likely to stay motivated to renew your membership. On the other hand, weighing it at home is a bit more comforting. I am a daily…

I'm a little scared of pasta. When I buy it I try to buy the whole grain kind. If I get too anxious about portion size or it just doesn't seem to be enough food, I always fall back to spaghetti squash. You can eat several times as much and still not equal the amount of cals in most portions of average pasta. It can be…

I have one printed and stuck to my fridge at home. I'm overweight so it's obvious I don't always choose wisely but it sure helps to see that we have tons of options.

I agree w/ the fajitas, I'd avoid any torillas though. Depenting on how they're prepared the flour can be very refined which means easier to break down in your system which means higher calorie retention. Some tortillas are prosecced with lard too. Also, I agree with the above to STAY AWAY FROM THE REFRIED BEANS. The are…

Okay, this list is HUGE, but I've compiled it over years of dieting and watching my weight. ½ cup fresh blueberries 45 1 sesame breadstick 42 3 cups plain popcorn 23 1 whole ripe tomato or ½ cup cherry or grape tomatoes 33 1 small banana 81 5 saltine crackers 60 1 medium apple 80 ½ plain bagel (small 2 oz) 83 celery sticks…

I was new, then I quit, now I'm back and "new" again. I feel better already. There's something to be said for seeing what you've eaten in black and white. Almost as motivating as seeing the scale count down. So, here we go again, I'm on my way.

Thanks ladies, I really appreciate your supportive responses. The only trouble is I don't know what to eat for breakfast:laugh:

I'm back after a couple months off. :ohwell: I'm not very happy with myself and I'm at an all-time high. I've never weighed this much and I'm at a point where the clothes I have don't fit and the clothed I shop for don't fir right. I'd love a pal besides MFP to be accountable with. In the past I've tried very…

I'm not really sure where I want to be. I've been skinny, but it's been a long time since I've been healthy. I am setting my goal for now and may adjust it in the future. All I know is that I've gained 45 pounds since Janurary 2007 and I hate it. I am not sure I could survive at 125lbs. again, so I'm shooting for something…

I joined on Monay. I'm hoping to find a few people who have about the same amount of poundage to lose so we can keep each other motivated. I have a VERY hectic work schedule and I know I'll need help at least staying motivated to exercise. I've got between 30-40 pounds to lose and I'm ready to get busy.
