The key is not to take advice from people that do not have a degree in Nutrition. And your lunch sounds great and would be perfect for a diabetic.

Not necessarily true, depends on what kind of carbs she's eating. Simple carbs do need to be reduced or even eliminated. The body and especially the brain needs some complex carbs. Carbs just can't be eaten on their own.

Have you been tested for insulin resistance or metabolic syndrome? Your description of your problem fits. You should eat a balance of carbs and proteins. No more than two carb servings per meal or snack (30 grams) and two protein servings (14 grams) plus any non-starchy veggie. You can eat more protein than carbs but not…

I have an ION though can't tell you the model since I'm out of the country. I've had it 5 years and use it most every day but a minimum of 4 times a week. I don't run on it though I do race walk...7.5mph I bought it at Academy. It has weight entry and wired for Polar HRM.

Two glasses with each meal and I eat 5 times a day so it's simple.

This along with other random questions are highly amusing. Seriously, the lack of knowledge on this site is rather devastating!! EVOO is for simple everyday use. If you are frying then you need to use refined olive oil...there are many "simple" explanations but generally the higher the heat the simpler the oil.

I have been doing HIIT for about 3 weeks and just this week saw some results. Though I do have more than 20 pounds to lose I think it's. Good workout for everyone. I am following the plan on losebellyfatworkout.com and it does say that you can walk longer but the key is walk (in your fat burning zone).

Congrats for being so close to goal! You'll need to add back calories slowly to find where your body will maintain rather than lose. I believe there is a maintenance part of this site...not close enough for me to look for it. ;-). I don't think I'd add more than 100 calories a day to start with though.

You need to ditch the sugar cereals, reduce your sodium intake to 1,500mg/day, stop eating processed foods, eat more veggies and protein and fewer carbs. By protein I mean lean meats...no chicken wings or other fried foods.

I fight a similar battle. I lose 3 pounds and gain 2 then don't lose for a couple of weeks. Frustrating but I am winning (down 39 pounds since May). Have a good cry and then get back at it and you'll succeed, I promise.

I'd also suggest you test your blood sugar if you get another headache.

Because the alternative sucks, royal, seriously. If you didn't when would you find the time...

I have that DVD but it has to wait until we return from our extended European Vacation...hopefully none of Chevy's adventures will be part of our trip...
-
Get over that and start taking control...measure everything at every meal...plain and simple, no excuses!!

A couple of questions: Any history of diabetes? What do you eat after a workout and how soon after you workout do you eat?
-
LOL! I have answered correctly inso many other threads but have had tons of others answer the same thing regarless. ;o) Just thought this would be the same...

Surely I am not the only one with an opinion on this subject? 600 replies on water or eating issues but just me on butt exercises?

Shame I didn't know sooner going to be in Ireland for 2 weeks but baggage is already at excess. I thought there was anAmerican store in the London area and know for sure there's one in Aberdeen. Will be your food pal after we return if you are interested though Morning Star Farms wouldn't ship well.

cilantro in the US is fresh coriander in the UK...cilantro being the Spanish word. Egg Beaters are just egg whites though the original has coloring or colouring

Squats, step ups and lunges, weighted of course.

Marmite is a by-product from beer brewing. It's the yeast left over. Not a fan!

Without testing for free T4 and T3 there is no way to accurately know if your thyroid is working properly. The TSH test can give a false negative. I'd ask your doctor to test for free T4 and free T3

If only!

4-5 times a week is not a treat it's an addiction! ;-) Seriously, you could maybe have one once a week or even better once a month or even as a reward for goals reached. The more carbs you consume the more glycogen you store. You'd have to do major cardio to balance out 400 unnecessary calories. JMHO

It covers any liability a person may attribute to a any plan they choose to follow. I've read where most drs know diddly when it comes to eating well. If when you start exercising and you have real pain, as opposed to soreness, then you should see a dr.

I think as long as you are weight training you will just have to give your body time. It certainly didn't stretch out in a few months...
