  • I put it in my protein shakes.
  • Couscous, quinoa, and sweet potatoes are carb dense.
  • You must eating processed foods to go over or you're cooking with salt. Spinach is a good source of potassium, tomatoes, potatoes.
  • Dry measure and liquid measure are different. You would be much better off with a digital scale, one with a tare button. If you can't afford one then get separate measuring cups for dry and liquid.
  • I only looked at a few days but noticed you are not eating enough, you are consuming too much sodium (try to keep it at 1,500mg), and you're eating too many processed foods...cereal being one, pop tarts-really? Try getting away from things that come in a box, reduce your carbs and increase your protein, more veggies and…
  • I don't get easily bored with foods so I tend to have the same breakfast and snacks each day. I do cook supper with intentions of having leftovers for lunch the next day, My everyday foods are: Eggs Fage 2% Greek Yoghurt Roasted almonds or Virginia peanuts Cheese Dried cherries Sliced almonds Organic greens Cherry tomatoes…
  • pushups, planks, tricep dips, weight training will help build muscle which in turn will burn fat. And while you can't spot reduce you can tone and build muscle.
  • While it's great to have goals I don't like putting deadlines on them either. Instead just try working on your will power over the fridge as I think your workout goals are pretty lofty. That much exercise is bound to have its toll sooner or later and that will just add defeat to your burden. Two pounds a week is doable,…
  • Got nothin' to do with the post I quoted and show me the research/proof that eggs being sold are from chickens who are sick.
  • In use the sweet Leaf brand (liquid and packets) and don't notice an after taste. My DH who just recently went sugar free has been using it and says it's fine, no aftertaste.
  • It is illegal for fowl to be given hormones...
  • Didn't see this until today but I have walked 108 miles so far in Sept with 3 more walks schedules for the month. I do 7-9 miles a walk.
  • Body Fat Calculators ask for neck, waist and hips...so I would add neck to your list.
  • First, good for you for trying! I would suggest you not get fixated on the 50 pounds by January since it's a bit unrealistic goal...30 would be a better number to aim for. I would throw out or give away any foods that would tempt you to overeat. I have pretty good will power but while losing weight I cannot make chocolate…
  • Outstanding!! Congrats!
  • Where did you get that number from?

  • LOL! Thanks for that image!
  • Mine right now have 250 miles on them. They are going to be switched out for a new pair since I'm taking them on a long trip to use for walking/hiking (they are cross trainers). So when I get home I'll news a new pair. Normally it's every 3-4 months.
  • Please show me the science/research behind your statement because everything I have every read sagas you can't spot reduce. You can strengthen and build muscle but it won't reduce fat in a specific area. You hope the body uses the fat stores but even that isn't a guarantee.
  • You can't spot reduce so even doing ab workouts won't reduce stomach fat. HIIT workouts and heavy lifting will help but patience and persistence are the real keys.
  • Withdrawal symptoms are normal. You're body is used to you supplying an abundance of easy energy now it has to work for it...don't give in!
  • Have experienced the same thing but doubt it has to do with weight loss. I can make a great meal and then not want to eat it so I just have something else.
  • Enter it under gardening. If you were actually pulling weeds not using a weed whacker. Using a machine I might count half the time.
  • My average daily intake: Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled 1 tbs butter 1Orowheat extra fiber English muffin, toasted Lunch: 2-3 ounces baby spinach 1 can no-salt-added tuna 1/2 cup rice (cooked) 1 tbs olive oil All mixed together and sautéed in a skillet Afternoon Snack: 2 oz roasted almonds (unsalted) 1 or 2 Mini Babybels…
  • Looked at your diary and you a lot of processed foods which are heavy on the sodium. You might want to add sodium to your daily tracker in your diary. You need more veggies for starters.
  • Question...you weighed 4 pounds heavier on the doctor's scale than the one at home? If the answer is yes, I'm not surprised. I weigh 5 pounds heavier at the drs office as I have on clothes and shoes. Something to consider.
  • Diabetes is a tough road. Persistence is the only real key to overcoming it as a Type II. If you could open your diary for all to read we might be able to help in that area. As for the exercising, I do HIIT 3 days and Heavy Lifting 3 days. The 7th day is either the Wii, a DVD, or just a long walk (90 minutes) on the…
  • The number of steps per mile will depend on your stride so the 6235 mentioned above may not be accurate for everyone. You could log them under walking on the cardio, pretty low level but it's still movement. If you know the pace then you can use that to enter the steps.
  • Not sure about your use of the words "diet foods" as that makes me think of faux foods and processed foods. In reality you shouldn't deprive yourself of anything if it fits into your daily allowances. Eating food you like is a great idea though just not keen on the diet food part...
