I get burned out on lettuce quickly. I do however ALWAYS want kale. It has loads more nutrition, including protein. It's best with a vinegar based dressing soaked into it for a while to make it tender. I dig it with a berry vinagerette with chopped walnuts and fresh berries. Nom.

Adding enough muscle to be considered "bulk" would take years of professional level training and supplements. Not something you can do by accident. Overall, weights will cause more calories burned than cardio since your muscles make a constant demand for calories instead of the one-time demand of cardio.
