My youngest son is a picky eater, and I cannot sneak ANYTHING healthy onto his plate... his selections aren't all that varied, and the food is all pre-processed. Blue box mac and cheese, bagel bites, frozen pizza, chicken nuggets, pop tarts... and that's pretty much the extent of his diet. I try to get him to try healthier…

Welcome aboard!!! I know what a sobering experience it can be!!! When I first came to MVP, all of five days ago... lol. I saw exactly how many calories I was taking in, and I was shocked. Luckily the tools allowed me to balance it all out and plan before I cooked and ate. Stick to it, and you'll do fine! :wink:

I did Weight Watchers too... lost 139 lbs., then gained a lot of it back... mfp seems like a GREAT method for keeping track of everything we eat, and the exercise we do... welcome!

Was wondering how you were measuring your blood sugar... perhaps I'm missing something here, but on good days my BSL is like 90-100. Perhaps you're using a different type of meter? Not questioning your accuracy or method, I just find that rather curious!

I know how tough it is to reign in what we think is hunger when we're used to eating more... it takes adjustment. What I've taught myself to do is to differentiate between actual hunger and "bored" hunger. I was a grazer, would eat throughout the day thinking I was hungry, when all I needed to do was distract myself with…

I loved Fable II, haven't played III yet. I also love Dead Space, and the Silent Hill series (though Homecoming wasn't as good as I'd hoped it would be).

Take the Weight Watchers approach and shoot for losing 10% of your overall goal. Once you've lost that 10%, then go for the next 10%. Small goals along the way are one of the keys to success!!! Good luck to you, and welcome!!!
