Chuck Norris doesn't go swimming, water just wants to be around him. It's said that Chuck Norris has another fist behind his beard. When Chuck Norris does push-ups, he doesn't simply push himself up, he pushes the ground down. Chuck Norris doesn't battle, he just allows you to lose. Chuck Norris attacks sharks when he…

I usually just order a Salty Dog at a bar or restaurant if I'm out with friends, but don't actually want to drink. It's just vodka (bottom shelf, unless you state otherwise) and grapefruit juice with a salted rim. Greyhound if you're tracking you're sodium.(same but without salt.)

"The average person will have a maintenance caloric requirement somewhere between 14 and 16 calories per pound of current bodyweight or so. If you feel that you have a slow metabolism, pick the lower value. If you feel that you have a high metabolism, pick the higher value. If you think you're in the middle, use the middle…

I wouldn't recommend doing abs every day. It's like any other muscle you would train, it needs rest. If you want, you can get away with up to 3 times a week if you wanted. I personally do it twice a week, weighted: mondays and fridays, one exercise each. (I engage my core often each workout. i.e Squats, rows, deadlifts,…

I would assume the 28g of shredded cheese would equate to 1/4 cup, melted.

I've never used tried that particular one, but if you have a nice hard medicine ball, I suggest using that instead! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEAe_xXz95s ^I like using the ball better because you can "flow" on it better, move in circular motions, and because the point of contact is smaller than any foam, it gets into…

I have no experience with snowboarding, but I have heard it works the legs and core pretty hard! So I'll take your word for it about burning a lot of calories for a few hours! I have no clue what the 17 day diet is all about, so I can't really give suggestions if you're doing keeping certain macros low. (fat, carbs,…

From what I've been told from some of my friends that are in MMA, it's mainly to shed more water weight. I believe it's also used to help relax the muscles after strenuous workouts. Other than that, I wouldn't bother trying to track how many calories are burned off sitting in there. But if you feel the need to, use a HRM.…

I get that sometimes, too. Mainly from seated calf raises. My guess is, its just the amount of pressure coming down on your foot. As you press up on your toes, your feet is flexed / arched, thus causing some possible cramping. Heavy weight will do that.

I could tell you're a die hard crossfit advocate. How am I an expert all of a sudden? Because I have some knowledge of lifts, form and technique? It's called research, slim. I learn before attempting it. I'm talking about form and safety and how it can BE GOOD IF DONE SAFELY. But you still want to get your panties all…

Ha. I do, as well. At Bally and the 24 I've been to. Funny how easy it is to get a certification these days.

I did, actually. Standard or not, bad form is bad form. Like I said earlier, crossfit is great when exercises are done correctly. I know a few people that are in great shape because of it. Olympic lifts are meant to be explosive. 1 - 2 quick movements. For someone to have to hitch the weight up several times, after several…

I have mixed feelings about Crossfit. It's great when you know how to do the exercises correctly. But too often I see people practice terrible form, just so they can either blast through the reps to get to the next exercise, or break a new personal record by any means necessary.…

Few things you can try: 1. If you feel like snacking on something at 10pm or around that time, eat some low fat/non fat (your choice) cottage cheese with berries if you want. Its Casein protein, so it will digest much slower and will "feed" your body throughout the night. 2. Although they are good for you, carrots,…

I go Fat free once in a while. Depends on what it is. I stick with low fat (preference). I just make sure it fits into my macros. Sugar free: I use here and there. Stevia and Agave Nectar are natural sweeteners if one is not interested in Splenda for whatever reason. Although it has been shown to be perfectly safe.…

I hate when guys drop the olympic weights on the floor when there's a peg or weight stand not even 2 feet away. Don't be lazy, you just grabbed it from there 3 minutes ago. Also, rerack the damn weights!! You have the time and patience to load 12 plates on that leg press, but you can't strip it off afterwards?? Douche…

I understand what you're saying too, but like I said, the macros are more important. Counting calories alone won't do any good. Healthy fat, Protein, and Carbs determine fat loss and muscle gain/ recovery. If, for example, 60% of your calories is coming from carbs and still not seeing results, maybe one would need to lower…

She mentioned her NET is supposed to be 1200. But because she burns off a lot she eats more to equal 1200. That's why I mentioned it

"I decided to change my food intake to get my NET calories as close 1200 a day as possible. While this gave me a lot more energy, it also increased my drive to work out harder. So now I burn an average 800 - 1100 calories when I work out (5-6 days a week) and feeling great! So that's got me actually EATING over 2000…

Japanese and Asian Fusion restaurants use ponzu sauce. Usually with tuna. I've tried Foie Gras and Bone Marrow. Both tasted awesome! FYI. you have until July 1st, 2012 to try Foie Gras before its banned in California. (if anyone from MFP reading this, lives here)
