I hope you are all using foam rollers, if not you are cutting your strength training short.
I am thinking of buying this one:
http://www.amazon.com/The-Grid-Revolutionary-Foam-Roller/dp/B0040EGNIU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1326738559&sr=8-1
Has anyone tried this version yet?
If you don't foam roll you are a fool! Take care of those muscle gains!

I looooove foam rolling - now I can quit bugging my boyfriend for massages haha. Mine is just a basic one, but I've used a similar one in the gym before, except the bumps were larger and stuck out more. It was a little too much for my preference, but that one might actually be a nice compromise.
Sorry that doesn't really answer your question, I'm mostly interested in hearing what anyone says who has used this one!
Also, do you ever use lacrosse balls? I haven't, but I've seen people use them... recommend it?0 -
I've never used tried that particular one, but if you have a nice hard medicine ball, I suggest using that instead!

^I like using the ball better because you can "flow" on it better, move in circular motions, and because the point of contact is smaller than any foam, it gets into the muscle deeper. Fyi, it will hurt more, but your body will get used to it after a few go arounds.
I feel like a million bucks after doing it post leg workout!0 -
I have the generic foam roller (no bumps or grooves) and it works fine. Tennis ball is used to get into those tight spots.0

I can do Lacrosse balls on calves and shoulder areas, but hams and glutes are too babied.
Try tapping two balls together to hit your spinal areas, OMG pain and heaven all in one.0
