You can add me, too. I've been in ketosis since early January and have lost 60 pounds so far. Hang in there - induction isn't for sissies ;-) You can do it!

I agree, but they never say 8-10 cups per day. It's always phrased 8-10 glasses per day. *sigh*

The question I always have is, when "they" say 8 to 10 "glasses" per day, do they mean 8 to 10 8-ounce cups or 8 to 10 "glasses" which generally hold more like 2 cups (16 ounces.) I generally assume it's 8 to 10 eight-ounce "cups" per day instead of "glasses." But I could be wrong. It happens on occasion ;-)

ROFLOL! Oh, I love you! That's too funny. What an interesting article. Wish I hadn't read the comments. Lots of skinnies who think they know what it means to try to take off excess weigh. *sigh* I may have to rethink my red kitchen now ....

I'd be happy to be your friend. I'm definitely over 40 :)

Eating out seems to make me stall or gain - even if I make good choices. I'll give up eating at a restaurant this week :)

Oh my gosh, I am spinning like a crazy person trying to get these last miles in! ROFL! Nothing like a challenge to provide motivation. Weight is down, so if I can just get these last miles in, I will have met the goals! YAYYYY! Please tell me we are going to do a Christmas challenge like this ....

This week was difficult for me. I only lost .5 pound and didn't feel up to getting my miles in. Here's to a strong finish. I have 1 pound to go and have already exceeded the 100 miles. Hoping to get to 200 by Monday! Have a great last week everyone!
-
I totally agree! Knowing that I'm going to have to log in is keeping me honest! I so hope we are doing a Christmas challenge after this one :)

The time is just flying, isn't it? I have one more pound to go, so I should be able to make goal this week. I'm plugging along on the miles. I've done more walking/ less bike riding this week, so I didn't get quite as many miles in, but I'm still pretty happy with the progress. I love seeing everyone else's progress on the…

I had a pretty good week. I'm only 3 pounds away from reaching the weight loss goals and well on my way to the 200 miles as well. My motivation was waning a bit, but then I watched The Biggest Loser and got my head back in the game ;)

Yay! So excited to have *company* in the new goal! Who else is in for upping their goal to 200 miles?
-
Well the weather *finally* cooled off a bit here, so I was able to walk more outside which felt great. Logged lots of miles on the bike, so I think I'll challenge myself to another 100 miles after I finish up the first hundred - 200 miles by Halloween :) The weight loss is veryyyyy slow but feeling hopeful that I'll be…

thanks so much for the challenge, Elana! it's really working for me! i had my bunco group here this week, but resisted the carbs i served them because i didn't want to blow the challenge. i've also pushed myself harder on walking/bike because of it. very motivating! i'm impressed with all of the moving everyone else has…

that's awesome! good for you!

lucky you! i only eat if i'm hungry, even if it means coming in under calorie goal - but i'm no expert. i'll be interested to see what others (more knowledgeable than i) have to say.

At least go to your college health clinic. They can do a preliminary exam and possibly a few tests for you. If it's related to diet, maybe they can help you figure out the food sensitivity or whatever else may be causing the problem. I really urge you to go see someone.

Thank you, elana!

I'd love to play. 5% will be 13 pounds. It won't be easy, but I'll give it my best shot :)

WTG TwinMom! Congrats on your loss! Sarah, that sounds like a great motivation, too! Just think - you won't have to *dread* your reunions! :)
-
Glucosamine and Chondroitin helps me. I really feel it when I stop taking it for a while.

Hi! I'm Sara and would love to join in the group! It would be great to watch the progress of other friends who will be here long term like me! LOL! I'm a work-at-home Mom and I'm very motivated. We like to camp and it's just too uncomfortable at this weight. I've planned a summer vacay that is my motivation to stay on…

I've been putting a bag of Sunflower seeds (in the shell) into my purse when we go to our football games. Gives me something to do while everyone else is eating popcorn. I've also slipped a couple of light cheesesticks in my bag to keep the protein up so I wouldn't be tempted by nachos, etc. Good luck!

you are awesome! congrats on the loss - you look great!

You and me, both!
