I've been a vegetarian for 29 years. And I work out. And no, it doesn't make me crave meat.

Really nice job! My partner is your height and is looking to lose 60 pounds too. I'll share your photos with him.

Fired up on Tuesday! 3 sets of 15 swimmer presses, 3 sets of 15 wood chops, 3 sets of 21’s, 3 sets of 15 lawnmowers, 3 sets of chest flies . Skipped the woodchops - having a little twinge in my left upper arm. Also did 45 minutes on the stationary bike.

Spinning can be a lot of fun - in our classes they play very energetic music very loud - so you get in a zone. Definately buy padded bike shorts, and eventually your rear end will get used to it :)

My body is demanding a rest day today! I have to move pellets for our pellet stove today, so I think that will be enough exercise for me! Next rest day - might be Valentines day - we'll see. If I can fit in exercise after dinner on Valentine's day, I'll do it! Going to be eating more than usual, so I'll need it.

I had the sam problem - I think mine is a FT7 too. Changed batteries, washed the strap regularly. Very frustrating. Stopped using it.

Try to do 1 hour 20 minutes a day, 6 days/week.

Planks make my lower back sore. I try to keep my abs tight & yet still breath - which is hard. Any suggestions?

Day 3 done! 1 minute bear walk, 100 Jumping Jacks, 50 Crunches, 25 Split Squats, 3 mile slow walk, 20 minutes beginner pilates dvd I figure I'll do my rest day on a weekday. Usually work gets in the way at least one day a week, and weekends I have more time to work out.

Fromm kibble (any variety) and Evo canned venison. High energy dogs - hard to keep weight on!

First time I lost weight - around 11 years ago - I had gained 30 pounds since my college days. I would feel really awful if I tried to jog for a minute. I would be so out of breath. I just felt so unfit & unenergetic & frumpy. So, with diet & exercise, I lost those 30 pounds. This time - I had gained 10 pounds in 1 year.…

Need coffee! I figure it helps to keep me employed :) I've learned to drink it with fat-free milk instead of cream.

1 pound a week, which I'm very pleased with.

Yes! I usually go for a long hike once a week. 4 hours or so with a backpack. Then I go out to eat at a restaurant, and don't worry about calories. That is the only time we are going out to eat. No hiking = no cheat meal. Sometimes we do 2 long hikes on the weekend, but still only 1 cheat meal.

LMAO! So far 30 minutes treadmill walking, 20 minutes lower body pilates. Think I'll finish off with 10 minutes of jump rope & call it a night.

I have a Polar, with a chest strap. From what I read, the ones without one are less accurate. I did find after a year my Polar was having problems - either displaying 0's or having an astronomically high heart rate periodically. Replaced the batteries + I always cleaned the strap regularly. Stopped using it, as I would…

My work has its own gym, and they have 2-3 classes a day. About 1/3 of the people in the classes I've been to are men. Spinning Weightlifting Zumba (haven't been, but see them go) Yoga

I love cheese too! Since counting calories I've only been eating feta (1 ounce) or grated parmesan (1-2 TB). I do full fat feta. Just tastes better to me. Parmesan for omlets. Feta for omlets or salads or with 3 olives. Too scared to check the calories of other kinds. Cheese & crackers - let's not even go there.

You look amazing! What a transformation. You look lighter than what your weight is. You also look much younger. Congratulations & good luck with Insanity.

Backpacking. I already hike, but don't backpack. And cross country skiing.

I don't talk about it much with friends. But my partner is also trying to lose weight at the same time, so we talk about our diet and fitness a lot! He doesn't mind at all. Sometimes I post my workouts on Facebook. Some people - the ones who are also interested in being healthy & working out - like this. The others - not…

I've never come close. In my spin class, the instructor said you could burn 750 calories/hour. I think I was more like 400 - when I checked my HRM.
