  • HI and welcome. This site is so great for support, accountablity and awareness of what you are actually eating/doing. I would suggest that you consult with your doctor on an appropriate amount of calories for weight loss, then adjust your settings toward what your doctor reccomends...but untill then just keep tracking...so…

  • In college I used to always write out flash cards and then go to the gym and bike while I reviewed....writing out the cards in the first place helped me remember but I used my gym time to review, plus the time on the bike goes by really quick when you are focused on something else. :wink:

If you don't currently workout, any workout will help, I am into jogging....no gym membership or cost required...except a decent pair of shoes......and you can start out as slow as you need to. :happy: This site is sooo helpful in keeping on track with calories and really make you aware of what you consume.   • Honestly I would go for somewhere in the middle...I don't think anything is extremely accurate unless it tracks your heart-rate for the entire time you are working out. Even the heart rate monitors on the equipment at the gym don't seem right to me. Best best would be a personal fitness monitor...but they can be pricey.…

  • One of my favorites for a quick dinner is eggs and egg whites, whole grain toast or even corn torillas--with hot sauce of course :happy: . You can add in turkey bacon or turkey sausage and can cook the eggs scrambled or over easy.

  • Good Morning and welcome, I recently joined and have found that tracking really make me so much more aware. I am to at 1200 calories a day. I am trying to lose 20lbs, hopefully 10lbs by March for my twin sister's wedding!! Keep posting your progress and good luck!! :)
