  • I've had weightloss surgery, which for this post means little intake means little "output". That being said, when I talked to my Dr about the change in schedule, he flat out said, as long as I have at least 1 BM every 3 days that there was no cause for concern. If I went beyond that, to contact them and they'd tell me what…
  • I would say that is correct, but not correct. What's actually happening is you're burning more calories because your body is working diligently to repair those muscles you've damaged by working out. This doesn't actually make your metabolism higher, but burning more calories means better losing weight faster (in theory).
  • I usually make a frittata on Sundays. They're simple, decently healthy and they reheat well. (I usually have a slice a day for that week) for 1 frittata you'll need the following: 12 eggs 1/3 cup water 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Pinch salt 1 T Olive Oil 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers* 1/2 cup chopped country ham* 1 cup…
  • I've bought a very nifty shirt that I've loved for quite some time now. I can't wear it yet, but I know I will be able to in the future. I also leave it in the middle of my closet so that I see it regularly. I want it in the forefront of my mind so that I can.. "keep my eye on the prize" so to speak. I don't think I'm…
  • Cold Cucumber Soup 10oz Plain Yogurt (or Greek yogurt) 5 medium cucumbers seeded and sliced 1T Fresh Mint 1T Fresh Dill 1T Fresh Chives 1T Honey Juice from 1/2 Lemon. Put in blender and blend until smooth. (Add yogurt first then cucumbers to start the blending process easier) Refrigerate for 4 hours before serving.
  • The first two days are harder to manage calories. Don't eat/drink a ton of empty calories, just to meet a quota.
  • Jess, as someone who's also had weight loss surgery. I know all too well that the surgery is not a fix, or an easy out. It's a tool that you use to lose and manage your weight loss. While we both know that 20lbs is not the end of the world, it sure can seem like it. What you need to do is go back to the basics. Perhaps…
  • While i'm not a fan of chicken or egg or tuna salad, I did come up with a combination I can live with and is loaded with protein! I take 4 hard boild eggs (Diced) 1 can of chicken breast (drained) 1 tbs of Olive Oil Mayonaise 1 spoonful of sweet relish 1 tsp of mustard roasted red peppers chopped. mix it all together…
