Take your time and keep experimenting with what works for you. You are in a very delicate stage so just try to combat any binge eating and introduce weight training, circuit training, and light cardio into your weekly routine. Don't try to lose it all at once. The goal is to create a healthy relationship with food so you…

I'm currently 5'5" and 135 lbs. I'd like to get down to 115 lbs, or at least look around 110-115. I've never lifted a weight in my life before this week and want to try it as an alternative to doing pure cardio for fat loss.
-
You can add me, training with dumbbells and trying to change my body composition :)

I felt anxious today and felt the impulse to binge, and I was able to breathe through it and did not binge. This is actually the first time I've been able to resist it. I really appreciate all the support I get from this community. :)

I haven't bought frozen spinach yet. It's more to feed that chewing impulse I have sometimes when water doesn't cut it. Frozen spinach in soup is also genius.
-
Onion.. there's another one. I make hot-onion salads sometimes with just onion and oil. Genius!

I should get a food scale. I think I'm a good eyeballer. Great point in counting in the vitamins. I really do think the vitamins make a difference!

Genius point. #love

Am I the only one who really doesn't want her to eat that donut. Office "snacks" are the worst. I use to work in an office with a big bowl of peanut m&m's at the front desk. So lame! Keep us updated...
-
Yum! That all sounds so yummy. I have to remember: HEAT. Heating food is always better. Though there is something primal about eating raw spinach.

Pretend they're not there. Ignore the donuts. Don't do it!!! I find large amounts of sugar to be very triggering.
-
Yes, we can do it! We just have to be stealthy. I have to count calories or else I pretend they don't exist. But keep doing what works for you individually and we can all reach our goals! It's science.

Totally inspiring advice. I am slowly getting obsessed with the numbers again after about a year off myfitnesspal. I am 5'5". I see little budges but they usually have gone back up after a few days. I'll be careful to be ultra-stealthy and swift. Eating school! I can't wait. I've only been trying for 30 days and have not…

Cool! Me too. It seems like when you're at this weight you have to really focus to see any difference in the scale. I'll send you a request now :)

Lol. Kale is really gross raw. You might like it better if it's cooked, sautéed, in olive oil or another oil with a vegetable you like. It's also good cooked in the oven like your very own kale chip, but they don't get as crunchy as the ones in stores. Kale is high in vitamins and one of the better greens, otherwise I…

Sometimes I feel like I'm eating for the week, and have this mindset that I'm fueling the mountain climbing I'm about to have to do. My appetite does change after cheating and it's hard to turn around bad choices. I've had great success with dieting in the past but cannot turn around this anxiety-induced lackadaisical…

I cured anxiety-induced ibs symptoms by speaking to a psychiatrist and trying SSRI's. My symptoms also didn't respond to a dramatic change in diet. I know what you mean about trying everything in order to find peace with the symptoms. I have other reasons to take the medication, so it might not be for everyone, but it did…

Its a good methodology to justify not eating at night, I suppose the only reason to eat is for brain function. I'm guilty of overcompensating the justification of refueling (with "healthy food", protein, etc.) It's like hibernation, right?
-
I wanted to know if lifting weights would use my calories in a new way. I'm not sure what constitutes that as "trolling"
-
This is a great point to me. From a woman's point of view, eating for the abs and exercising for the skin should rather be the philosophy. I don't think it's a high-and-mighty way of viewing exercise, I think it's a healthy mental position to put cravings into perspective.
-
I don't know who is supposed to be the troll... but this is really solid advice for anyone interested in gaining motivation to stay (or start, like me) with controlling hunger. And ElizabethFuller, NICE with working the system and living life. That is also super inspiring. Good work.

I've read bodybuilders say they have trouble eating enough food, sometimes. I like the idea of that. I generally do intermittent fasting as it helps keep my mind off food until later. Otherwise I just think of it all day. I do need to get control of my cravings, it's never that I'm actually hungry, I just eat because it's…

I was engaged last summer, and when we broke up I found this article pretty useful. For me, it was not only the issue of how to talk to guys, but how I presented myself, and how I needed to be myself: "...So let's try to apply this Barbie-like behavior to a first date to see why it goes over like a lead balloon. Picture a…
